Ride - Saturday 8/4 - San Diego - EPIC!

Ok folks, you wanted it, you got it... Another ride of some of my favorite San Diego roads. On request of TheGriffin we will cut out the El Cajon portion because of his dislike of driveways. In accordance with this we will add my 100% most favorite road in the entire SD area, Montezuma Valley! So here are the details... The Date: This Saturday! 8/4/2007 The Time: Meet 9:30AM Leave Em: 10:00AM SHARP! The Place: The Mobil Station on Otay Lakes Rd, Chula Vista. ** How to get there ... Exit Telegraph Canyon Rd East from the 805. Head up Telegraph Canyon Rd for some distance. After St. Claire and St. Paula Dr it will be a right into the first shopping complex you come across. The Mobil is a right at the stop sign at the top of the entrance after making the right off Telegraph Canyon. Here is a link to the Satellie View of the road on Google Maps. If you haven't ridden the Zuma, it's like Palomar minus the squadrons of squids crossing the DY attempting to kill you. So what's up, everyone invited, all bike types, just don't act squidly. Highly suggest full gear due to twisties to be encountered. Come out, burn tires, burn gasoline, have fun! Got questions, hit me up, I'll answer them!

Shaping up to be a good turnout, Len? Would be nice to see some of the same faces from the last ride, all of those guys were really cool and personable. Yeah it's looking to be a good turn out. Some new faces, plenty of old faces. Ducati aka CBR James and Shaka are at Cal Speedway this week. Jimmy is out of town and Scar has business. So I guess Chuckie and Me will be the only ones from last week. Haven't heard from Craig. However, Amy Chuck's wife is coming on her new CBR and Edmond who is a real rarity is in. Looks to be some other new people showing up too, and possibly Jeff D. a real old schooler who hasn't ridden with us in probably 8 months. You never know who is reading the messages and doesn't say anything. Probably be 5-8 which is the perfect size.

sorry I didnt make it. I didnt even bother reading the directions and just read mobile station so of course I went to the wrong one which pissed me off. Definetely next time though. Tomorrow maybe??

Brian, you missed out man. We took this new road heading East. Ended up at a river of beer w/ naked supermodels bathing under a waterfall. They washed our bikes for us while we ate some excellent cuts of prime rib that they had just finished cooking. We caught up on some MotoGP highlights in high-definition on 6 different plasma TVs while the supermodels rubbed our backs. It was... epic.

Len, I realized way late in the ride that you have a MotoGP shift setup! I was watching you in some of the turns to see if you'd go up or down a gear, and I had it backwards for quite awhile, haha!

Yeah man, remember I told you I'd let you ride it to see what a full system does to the bike, but it's GP shift... And you said... "Yeah I can't do that because of the dirt bikes" No wonder your bike has "no power" you were running like 6k RPMS while I'm at 10 lol ... Anyway good ride today. Shame it was like 100 in Borrego, I would have like to take a couple runs at Zuma and then get some nasty Mexican food... So what's the story for tonight, we should get Chuckie and Amy to go to the Stadium Club and shoot drunk ass pool...
