For future preferences what dealer in San Diego County gives good deals on bikes, parts, and service. Thanks in advance. I bought my bike at San Diego House of Motorcycles in El Cajon, had somewhat a good experience except my bike had a dead battery, missing reflector, and was told that my insurance would be 30 bucks a month and it turned out to be $95 a month(progressive, which took forever for me to find the right price) im 16. If there are any better dealers out there please tell :)

What kind of bike did you get to get that cheap of insurance. Did you get full coverage. I am 25 and cant get insurance that cheap on my gsxr 750. Personally I dont like san diego house of motorcycles. They have a huge selection on used bikes but there customer service seems horrible to me and overpriced. The service department at quincey powersports in lemon grove is awesome though. They never bullshitted me and always helped me to get my bike fixed cheap and took there time to figure out the real problem instead of going right away to replace parts that dont need to be replaced.

Im 19 with 2 speeding tickets and still only pay $52 a month for full coverage on my 750! That sucks you cant find a better deal:headscrat

For the first month i had to pay $257 and then now im paying $95.08:) a month. I probably wont go back to sd house of motrocycles, if i can find another dealer that's cheap in bikes, service, and parts.

Try State Farm. Geico wanted $4700 for $1000 deductable for Theft, no collision. State farm. $250/year with better coverage than Geico. I upped mine to better EVERYTHING. And not $250 ded. on theft...added collision $500 deduc. paying $750ish/year I am 24 (they put me at the 9 year driving wall which dropped it A LOT!!!), with 1 speeding ticket on record (80 in a 40), and another fixed with traffic school. No accidents I went to Alba and they were nice. Started at $2400 for setup fee...they dropped it to $500. Then dropped the bike another $500. got a GSX-R600 for $9700OTD. Also...I know you can get them for cheaper...but whatever.

State Farm or AAA. You need to have a car/truck as your primary vehicle, insure the bike as a pleasure vehicle. Full Coverage 250$ deductible 300/600 insurance on my 600 is 28$ a month ... I'm 27 with 1 at fault accident.

I have no car or truck on my state farm policy. You're pretty lucky then because when I inquired to them it was 250 a month with no car, with my car it was 23$ a month. Unless you're on mommy and daddy's policy.

I am on my own policy thank you very much. Car is through mercury, bike is through State Farm. I have NEVER had state farm and neither has anyone in my family. There is no "buy-in" to state farm. Just call them and they fix you up. I pay for everything. I bet anyone can call up state farm here and ask for a quote and you will get one. Anyone wanting info PM me for the agent I have.

They may have stopped it, although I do have renter's insurance also. But when you put the motorcycle on as a secondary recreational vehicle it should make it drop to really low. If they have nothing else to rate as primary they have to rate the bike which makes it expensive. I love AAA, I have the card anyway for those times when your bike gets a flat, so why not use their cheap ass insurance.

How long have you been driving (cars that is)? if it was 9 I guarantee it would drop to like $30/month I was driving for 10 years and they still quoted me 200+ for a brand spankin new bike. You absolutely 100% must have it rated as a recreation vehicle. They're not supposed to be able to do that unless you put on another car as primary. My friend works for State Farm and explained all of this to me. Apparently you found some loop hole and some insurance squid did something they shouldn't of.

whats the point of renter's insurance? Do you really think you would use it? renters insurance will give you a multipolicy discount and since renters insurance is so cheap your total insurance cost will be less.

back to the original question... i went to north county house of motorcycles, for two reasons. 1: they were cheaper than Escondido Cycle Center, and were willing to deal on price. ECC said they dont have to deal, these bikes sell so fast blah blah blah. 2: i dont want to drive all the way to fun bike center or alba when i want something, im a north county cat. as far as insurance goes, i have geico and its about 65 a month for full coverage on my 07 gsxr, with 5 years of riding exp and 0 tickets/accidents. my tacoma is on mercury.

whats the point of renter's insurance? Do you really think you would use it? Renter's insurance covers me for personal liability if someone sues me. It also covers all of my personal posessions if my place burns down or I get robbed. I actually do end up getting the policy for free because of the multi line discount... Renter's insurance is a MUST if you own anything of value. I wouldn't be able to replace 1/10th of my stuff if everything burned up in a fire.

If you're getting a bike, don't buy in SD... and that's really the best advice you can get. Take your business up North where they're unloading these things for hundreds to thousands of dollars cheaper. I got a brand new K7 GSXR600 for $8488 OTD in SoCal. Everywhere South of Carlsbad or so was well over $9K w/ House of Moto being the worst at NO LESS than $10K. They tried to sell me a "used" '06 for $9,800. Point is, take your business up North and they'll have to figure it out down here in SD sooner or later. I drove 60 miles North to score my deal.

do you guys just walk in to a dealership and say "what can i get a bike for out the door?" when i bought my k7 600, i was there for 3 hours, haggling. in my opinion, it paid off, but if your impatient maybe you wouldnt do that. as far as different stores selling it for different prices.... you have to bust their balls and work the salesman. who cares what the sticker says, i told them what i would pay, and eventually, 3 hours later, they got down to that price. i got my bike in february for 8700 otd (212 more than zookpilot) and i was happy with that. it may have helped that i didnt finance very much of that though...

Hey guys... I highly recommend going to Escondido cycle center... it's a bit away for some, but I've had nothing but good experiences with bying parts and customer service!! They really try to help you out.... My brother bough 2 CBR's 600 RR's both combined 10,000.00 out the door with full gear and tires!! These guys are good!!!... they will beat any price you bring to them as well!!.... Kiwi
