gsxr 1k rules

i smoked a zx9r and a stock busa on my 02 1000 this weekend. :arsenal :arsenal :arsenal this bike is 1 bad mother .

was this at the strip??? if so, what were your e.t.'s?? the busa dude musta sucked bad, cuz that thing should be able to eat you up....

nah dude, the busa has more horsepower but it's also a lot heavier. With the same rider the busa should always be a little faster, but if you have a slightly more skilled rider on a 1000 and an OK rider on the busa the 1000 could come pretty close. I think it was sport rider that had a big article comparing the busa to 1000, they gave both bikes the same pipe, filter, power comander and over stock swingarms and then had the same guy take a ton of runs on each. They were almost the same horsepower, I think the busa was only putting out like 6-7 more than the gix, but it was almost 100 pounds heavier. But in the end it turned out the busa got the fastest times, not because of HP, but it had a lot more torque cause of the extra 300cc. So even though it was faster, it was still very close, and someone with some skills could smoke a busa if he's not on the ball.

right, this i know....a 1K could easily give a busa a run for its $$$...i'm just saying, same rider, same mods...busa should own...

i geuss you could say the busa rider was alright . and it was on the street he stayed with me till about 170 and then i pull away he may not have the tre plug it was a 04 busa and my bike is a02 with a power com,full pipe tre,and k/n filter so that was the diff. there but i felt good cause everybody has told me he wanted some and i gave it to him right up the ass :thefinger :twofinger

usually the busa and 1k are kinda even until 150 or so then usually the busa will pull the 1k. So i think that this person you race may have been scared of speed. Congrats on your victory though

i thought the busa made a lot more power than a 1k. What is that thing rated at? 220+. HOw much does it put down? anyone know? A 1k is like wut, 154whp? Busa is made for a straight line, bike is a lot lower, better launchs, and i know it runs like 9s all day.

a buddy just bought a 05 gsxr1k and he said he will rip me a new one . but he has never rode a sportbike and he has never been 170+ what do you think. he said he has been playing around with taking off but what i have been hearing sounds like he is heading for the casket . he said he dont burn his tire first he said he can take me on a cold start tire cause that when it does smoke then it will hook up i said bull shit when it hooks up your ass is going to be under it what do you think

A person on a Kawasaki 250 is fast as hell by himself and that is all I gotta say on that. Take em to the track

my stock 05 1000 has been 9.90@144.02mph .I have outran several busa's in a straight line .its got -1 on the front,lowered and strapped ,and was on u4 race gas....track wasnt prepped..as it only 60' a 1.77 i believe and went 6.51@117.86mph in the 8th mile.At my home track it goes 1.64-1.68 60' . sureit has more in it et wise.but dont think it will gain much mph...the 1/4 mile track is about 90 miles away from here...and we mostly run 8th mile.....and im 200lbs..suited..... :D

ive raced 3 busa's with pipe's and power commander's from a 1st gear roll,,i pulled 6-8 bikes going into 5th gear..my 2003 made 157....don't get me wrong,i know what you can do with a busa,,there's a guy in tulsa making 248 rear tire..he went 9.20 on the motor,and is 250lb...a few week's ago we took 2 busa'a out bought on the same day,both with pipe's and power commander's,,i could put 1 1/2 bike's on the other busa,,im 175 dressed he's 200...we made sure we got an even start,,so,,look's like 25lb is worth atleast a bike length......

u4, alot! I picked up a tenth just by switching gas, from pump to u4. this is without a pc or any thing. but the shit cost me $9+/gallon. that sucks
