i read that yesterday. takes a lot of work. ill wait till an easier way comes out (i havent messed with the iphone, but ill give it a test drive). ive always used PPC's, so i dont know how ill deal with apple as a phone

ohh and the iphone wont be released on another network for a few years. apple and at&t have a 2 year contract. i know its being released on tmo in europe.

i like them but they cost what? like 500 bucks? i can think of alot better ways to spend that much money...like gas...and beer.:bounce

He just spent at least $500 on a phone he had to hack to be able to use. And he couldve at least dressed up a little for TV, looks like he was playing football in that shirt.:cool:

So what if he is passionate about tinkering with electronics, I'm sure you are passionate about bikes but somehow he has no life. He didn't hack the phone all on his own, he gives credit to a few other people, so its not like he has some severe and unhealthy case of being anti-social.

The technological know-how it takes to accomplish something like that is obviously beyond your scope of understanding. Unlocking that phone will probably give him more opportunities in life than you could ever dream of having.

I agree, he could have dressed nicer for TV, but hey, the kid is 17, so we'll cut him some slack for not knowing better :cool:
