If you loop an endo on your GSXR..... Watch out for this part of your sub frame: http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y133/vej45/gixxer%20loop/Sub_frame_tube.jpg Yes, that’s my leg tissue inside the tube... ewww! "Why?" you might ask. I'll show you why! This is the back of my left thigh, right below my ass cheek: http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y133/vej45/gixxer%20loop/my_left_leg.jpg That hole is about 3 1/2" deep and all the tissue from the center of it is gone. As you can tell I broke the bikes fall so she'll be ok with just a new mirror and a new tail fairing. I'll need to straighten the upper fairing stay but surprisingly enough the upper fairing and windshield were hardly even scratched. Over all the bike came out of it better than I did!

Brutal looking man, looks like my knee did last month after I wrecked. I had a bunch of body fat and what looked like a piece of polly-o-string cheese hanging out of my leg. Get well soon...

It was a little too gross to post even though my friends were nice enough to take pictures in the emergancy room. They were all joking around because I always made fun of them when they dropped their bikes, not seriously though. When the nurse pulled the bandages off that shut them up pretty quick. :bounce

That's pretty bad, the worst thing I think I ever did to myself was when I crashed my Honda NS-50 into a crown vic. 1. Broken left Tibia (shin bone) starting in the middle and all the way up to the knee joint. 2. Broke both right arm bones at the wrist and pushed them into my hand. My right arm was a few inches shorter than my left untill they fixed it in surgery. 3. Sprained right knee 4. Brain swelling and seizures and I was knocked out for 45 minutes. 5. Gross time again... I ruptured blood vessels in my scrotum.

OH Wait I read it wrong you endoed OVER?? right? Yes... Endoed all the way over while riding home from the AMA races at Infinion raceway on sunday. It was a great day until I did that on I-80 just outside of Davis. The bike landed on top of me and the subframe broke through the plastics and punctured my upper thigh right below my ass cheek... I also damaged my right kidney in the fall. We are still running tests on my kidney to find out how bad. All I can say is thank god I was wearing all my gear, almost no road rash to speak of. Although by the time I arrived at the hospital in the ambulance they had cut most of my clothes off anyway. Funny thing is I'm just getting back on the bike after a few months off while recovering from surgury on my spine as well. I'm really just kicking myself in the ass because I have a 01 Honda f4i I put together as a stunt bike to keep this kind of shit from happening on the gixxer and stop doing this stuff on public roads. But shit happens... :damn: The Doc says my leg should heal up in about 2-4 months due to how much tissue is missing under the skin, They couldn't even sew it up for the same reason. Oh well, Live, learn and ride on! Be careful out there Vej

Look at it this way: Now you have TWO stunt bikes:) I guess I dont learn either I jumped a boat with a wave runner (unsuccessfully obviously) and this summer I was at south padre doin it again (successfully) but there are ginormous differences in jumping on an unpredictables lake with hella wind (lake mead) and jump in teh ocean with a lot of help from the waves  The scrotum thing... NOWS THAT WHAT WE WANNA HEAR, just kidding is everything um... ok?

Be careful out there Vej If they can't sew it up are they just going to leave a hole there to grow together on its own. :hmmm:

If they can't sew it up are they just going to leave a hole there to grow together on its own. :hmmm: Yes, I felt the same way..... :hmmm: But both the emergency room doctor and my regular doctor said the same thing (from different hospitals - BTW). Twice a day, I have to pack the inside of the wound with gauze wetted with saline (yes it hurts), and cover the outside with dry gauze pads and just watch close for infection. There's nothing more they can do for it because there is too much tissue missing, and stitches would just rip out from pulling too hard to close the wound. They said even if they could close the outside, the inside would likely end up infected. I'm not a doctor so I just do what they tell me. The good news is they gave me some STRONG pain meds to get through it with. So I take the meds and about 20 minutes later change the dressings, then about 10 minutes after that I'm out cold for about an hour. lol Like I said this happened sunday, I went home from the hospital on monday evening, and everything seems to be healing OK so far. It hardly bleeds now at all. I'm really more concerned with my kidney, but I'm pretty sure that will turn out ok. After all, you only NEED one to live, right?

I'm really more concerned with my kidney, but I'm pretty sure that will turn out ok. After all, you only NEED one to live, right? Now that's where the real danger lies when you crash. Internal injuries always worry me. Make sure you take extra special care of your leg wound. I just got off of antibiotics after taking them for three week due to an infection around the stiches in my knee. Damn if the bike doesn't kill you a little bacterium will. :2up

Ok so Im not even grossed out... do we have pics of the hole? a very good friend of mine Chuck was recently in an accident involving his bike and lost the bottom half of his left leg, he has this hole there on his thigh its HUGE from the infection... does that kind of wound heal itself like dos the skin regrow or? He also has this machine that he carries around he says it relieves pressure from his wounds... did they have something liket hat for your hole (no pun intended) and while we are at it yes you can survive on one kidney.

No, No machines to relieve pressure or anything like that. Like I said, I'm not a doctor. I just do what they tell me (for the most part). Again all I have to do is pack the inside of the wound with saline wetted gauze and cover it with a dry bandage twice a day. The doctors said the reason for the gauze was to keep it from dying out where the tissue is missing and it will heal on it's own. Sorry to hear about your friends infection, I'm doing everything I can to avoid that myself. The "hole" is about 1 1/2" X 1 1/2" X 3". The worst part is not the size of the "hole" but the depth. Besides it's been a week now and the only time it now bleeds is when I change the dressings. I'm sure it's going to be fine, just take a while to heal. The pic of the "hole" in this post is from my camera phone while in the emergency room, I could take a new photo of the "hole" if you'd like but the whole piont of this thread was to warn peeps about the tube at the back of the subframe if they loop an endo. Not proper medical procedure....
