saw this as well biggest difference between the two pictures is the front fairing nose. I’ll have to see one in person, at least if this true they finally went with intergraded turn signals. Had it not said cbr on the side, I woulda put money on it being a gixxer... lol probably the best honda I've seen;) just for that reason... We'll see what is ends up looking like come production time

I must agree it looks like A GSXR. Not to bad though. I'd hit it.

My buddie saw the new 1000 today at the dealer show. They will not release any specs or allow photos until it's European debut on September 28. He said it's pretty awesome and will come in four standard colors and a limited edition black. Other then that don't know much else... Maybe someone will sneak a photo but he said security was real tight.

Looks cool. It looks like they got rid of the under-tail exhaust. It's a cross breed of some sort.

If it looks like any of those two...:poo: The only Honda that I can say I honestly like is the new CBR600RR. I just like the way it looks. Not that I'll ever buy one, though.

In this picture they have removed the rear fender and turn signal assy. The colors are red/blk, red/sil, yel/blk, sil/blk and all black on the limited including the foot peg assy. The limited has no other mods.

I've seen 2 versions of the 08 1000rr floating around. One looks good the other with the smashed in nose is just fugly.

the front end just KILLs the lines of the rest of the bike. All the lines and edges are sharp on that thing...except the front end, it looks "smashed" in like others have said.

I think it has to do with recent restrictions on Db volume and emissions outputs. Or maybe they just saw a trendy way to take exhaust when Buell started it a while back

Hate it, never been a honda fan. I do have to admit it though, you guys are right it does look like a R6, Kawi, Gsxr wrapped up into something that honda copied from those that know what they are doing.....:D

I have never dished a bike before, because well I love to ride and am not completly loyal to one brand, although I tend to buy Suzuki's. I think honda makes great bikes, and I think they made the best 600 bike last year, but that bike looks horrid, I mean horrid,. Maybe in person it wont, I dont know.

I would buy it if it had 185 Hp stock. It still looks like hell to me though, but I'm a sucker for fast.

I saw it at the Australian motorcycle show and the GP at the island. It is a horn looking bike in the flesh apart from the exhaust, the gsxr's is just as ugly though. I think it's gonna be a quick bike.

I'm not really liking the looks either. I 'm surprised no one has mentioned this, but the tail is too small. It takes away from the entire package. Combining that with no enough fairing is trading looks and size for compactness and light weight. I hope it does well performance wise, but if the past is any indicator, the 1k Kawasaki and Suzuki will be battling for first. Honda is usually rated last place among the four. If I get a new a new 1k, which I probably will, it's between the '08 GSXR and the re-designed '08 ZX-10R. Honda's not even a consideration.

On a different website, a bunch of CBR1000 owners did a poll and most all of them absolutely hate it. Most all said that they were going to wait until the next model change in 2010 to get a new one. I like the new GSXR and the ZX-10, but I'll keep what I have for now.
