DC Money 09-10-2007, 11:16 AM Saw this today on same site i saw the first pics of the 07 gsxr1ks, the new 1000rr's and so on, but I think there a pretty reliable source.
no specs on the r125's just pics, I would ride one think of how great it would be for a track bike and a daily commuter for gas. And when kawi finally decided to update the ninja 250s Yamaha had to come out with something that looks better.

BallHawk3 09-10-2007, 11:17 AM if its two stroke, then i'm soooooold.
Then again, most likely its going to be street legal. So I have a feeling its gonna be a 4-stroke (plus the exhaust). No biggie.
Actaully. what the heck am i saying? This prob isn't even coming to the US. Its for europe. Blaaaaaaaaah.
JohnPaulGixxer 09-10-2007, 11:18 AM nice lookin bike, the exhaust can looks a bit overkill for a 125 though :hmmm:
whitebyrdzz 09-10-2007, 11:18 AM oh man i wonder how the kawi 250s look

RedRacer07 09-10-2007, 09:57 PM nice lookin bike, the exhaust can looks a bit overkill for a 125 though :hmmm:
+1, I was thinking it's a photoshop myself. The can is a little big for a 125. It'd probably do 90mph and would be a fun little ride for buzzing around a track.
Alwayslast179 09-11-2007, 12:05 AM Since the CBR 125R has been around for a couple of years, I looked up the specification for the Honda CBR 125R to get an idea of what kind of speed the yamaha will get. @13 hp, the CBR 125R gets a top speed of 70mph.
Yamahe YZF R125 is around 14.8 hp.
Maybe a beginners bike for kid or girl friend.

don't knock the bike, its not for a kid or "girl" (i know a 4'11 girl that would put most people to shame on her GS500.) but I guess that shouldn't matter cause theres a 13 year old girl tearing up the track USGPRU, also a 13 year old kid, first year of roadracing who's handing people their asses. Not to mention, I've smoked people in the canyons with while riding a 50cc scooter, and i've seen people get passed in the canyons by someone riding a bicycle (numerous times), heck i've even seen a couple on rollar blades just pass everyone on a downhill.
Feel lucky your living in the US. They allow you to buy anything you can afford (or finance). Live in europe and you gotta earn it. They'll start you off on a 125 for like your first 6 years of riding. Then you can move up and get a 600cc sportbike. Which is why you don't see a big market for smaller cc bikes in the united states, europe gets all the "cool" bikes. In the U.S., its about what sells, and sadly, ego's sell.

are you sure?!? only 14HP... hell my Aprilla RS50 (granted it was a 2-stroke, but still) had 11HP... I can't believe they can only squeeze another 3HP with an additional 75cc... That doesn't sound right.
peanut326 09-11-2007, 06:11 AM so your saying we wont ever see this in america??
Gnborsi 09-11-2007, 06:41 AM to tell u the truth i like how it looks and honestly i might buy one if it ever comes to america for my wife! she will like the look and it dosent have to much power perfect womens bike

RS50 had 11hp? Damn, the YSR and NSR had around 7hp I believe. Then again, the RS50 was more of a "full size' bike. It was basically the same size as the RS125 and RS250. It was still heavier than the NSR and YSR, and its prob the same size and weight of these bikes. So their still faster....actually MUCH faster.
But your forgetting, its a 4-stroke, not a two. And it has alot more torque and its more of a smooth curve being a 4-stroke. Requires less shifting, so it more for a "lazy" rider. I'm sure that was the point of it.
Don't forget, the 125 4-stroke ones are pretty much a GP bike. Pricy too.

No I'm not forgetting it's a 2 stroke... remember I said "...(granted it was a 2-stroke but still)". It would go about 60 to 65 mph depending on how heavy the person on it was. Being it was basically full size (same size as the 250 Ninja) made it alot of fun 'cause it was SOOO light and flickable. Also before you view the pic, no I don't ride without gear, that was merely a photo-op by a dad who has to take pictures of EVERYTHING reguardless of it's importance.

This is the Replica of Honda CBR1000 it's the R2 Super Bike.
I'm sure it's not as nice as the Yamaha YZF R125
It's a 125cc 4-stroke
They sale for 1500.00 plus shipping if you look around you can get them cheaper.
I'm thinking about getting one to put around on.
From what I have read they are not for the hwy will only do about 50mph
