Couple of guys I ride with have underglow lights and they haven't got into trouble before. Stan 09-27-2007, 11:04 AM I'm pretty saure if its Blue you can only use them being parked.. because If you were using them while riding its "impersonating a police officer" I'm pretty sure thats how it is around here.. because I've seen harley owners ride around with green neons.. I dunno Inferno 09-27-2007, 02:25 PM Don't know:headscrat but can you turn them off when you are riding? Couple of guys I ride with have underglow lights and they haven't got into trouble before.
yea i can turn em off for riding, and for the sake of the impersonating a police officer i only put them on the sides and back so they cant be seen from the front. Ive ridden around and passed cops and havnt gotten pulled over yet but i was just trying to figure out what kind of fine i would be looking at should i be pulled over for them. In NJ i did once and i told the officer "look man its the woods and the streets are lit like crap, anything i can do to get other people not to hit me is worth it" and he said it was fine rokketk5 09-27-2007, 02:31 PM yea i can turn em off for riding, and for the sake of the impersonating a police officer i only put them on the sides and back so they cant be seen from the front. calif cops have a small blue light in the back. if you had blue in the back that would resemble a cop more. ruthless 10-05-2007, 10:28 AM in FL you can have blue or red ANYWHERE while riding/driving.
parked its fair game. punishment is up to cops discretion. typically it would be a lighting ticket which is a non-moving violation. the majority of the time they wont hassel you for it. but it is an excuse to pull you over and bust your balls. pbehnke2003 10-10-2007, 10:54 PM Its my understanding that as long as its not flashing then its ok, but you could always check with a shop that deals with customizations on cars or whatever. I am sure they would know. live from 305 10-14-2007, 03:37 PM death by lethal injection

blue underglow is $50 more than red lights... bluedo 10-21-2007, 02:26 PM I've had blue lights for at least a year in Fla and have never had an issue and I have been pulled over twice, but they have never said anything about it | |
