It's not too bad until you see a picture that includes the exhaust. That has got to be one of the ugliest looking things I have ever seen.

I reserve judgement on the looks (hopefully it will grow on me). But I do not understand the exhaust. It has a under belly and an apparent "full" muffler? The k6 and k7 had a underbelly and a small stub of a pipe. What is the deal with all that weight and bulk? Are Euro emission that strict?

The thing that gets me is that they didnt make any performance changes or anything.. Waste of a year for Suzuki, hopefully it is a one year thing while they are working on a 2009 bike that will be all new.. Plus I hear there is no 750 for the 08' year.. :(

if they would just get rid of the center head light thing that looks like the head of a bird it would be almost perfect, its still pretty darn nice though

Guys who do not like it should look at what shits are brought by remaining big 4 Japanese producers. Even the exhaust is fine compared to them. I am just a bit disappointed with increased weight compared to K6/7 and happy to have the hardcore K6 model :)

.... I can also remember end of 1999 when the first 750 SRAD was to be replaced by the '00-'03 model. It took some time before I fell in love with the new generation :) With headlights it goes like this ... if there is a model with rather horizontal shape , it is clear that some next model with vertical shape will come - interesting that Suzuki had temporarily overcome this rule with something between on 1000 K5/K6 and 600/750 K4-K7 Anyway, this is all just meaningless bullshitting ... because what you actually look at on GSX-R is just a lot of fun ahead ...sometimes also rpm meter, gear indicator and shift light ;)

Not to mention they just released and all new R6 with magnesium frame. This seems pretty lame for a Suzuki upgraded model. Sorry I said it. I kinda like the lights, but it needed more. I hope they put more on it.

I agree...it's the only combo that looks good on the K8 to me. I noticed on the pictures the tires are some new ... neither BT014, nor BT002R Street ... something between. So I gues these are some new sport-touring Bridgestones, aren't they?

it says with cylinder head refinement so maybe it will have a few more ponies,,the claimed dry weight is 359lbs (163kg), the claimed weight of the r6 is 166kg.

The reason I like it and the reason I seem to always go back to suzuki is cause they go there own way, they in no way follow the other three manufacturers. And there bikes are usually leaders in their class. the other 3 seem to follow each other and make false claims to often.
