Honda Shadow vs GSXR 600

I bought a 05 GSXR 600 a few months ago and a buddy of mine has a Honda Shadow I think the 750. He's the kind of person who thinks he is always right and the best at every thing and swears up and down he'll beat me and my roommate who's got an 05 R6. Even if he had that 1000cc Shadow how bad will we smoke him? Anyone know how much HP those things have or what kind of 1/4 they run?

My cousin has an '01 Shadow 750. You'll smoke that thing bad. His is all souped up and my old ass 92 Gix is faster than that bastard. They make LOW Hp from the factory. From what he tells me you can't do too much engine mod's b/c the cylinder walls are thin...(boreing out, etc.). And even if you did, I doubt he would beat you. Go smoke his ass. I'll do some recon and see what the actual Hp and 1/4's are...

Take his money and his pride. The shadow should make about 45 hp and about 60 ftlbs torque. Same thing happened to me, this guy my friend worked with wanted to race his V-max against my SV-650. 65hp SV + akropovich full exhaust + jet kit with modified air filter + 20 hp shot of nitrous = one fast SV... I smoked his ass... :lol:

you could probably beat the shadow without even getting out of firstgear, maybe have to shift to second. Its no contest.

Please have some one record this so we can really see this person try. Bet your house on it or bet him he has to clean your bike.

A buddy I work with has a shadow 1100 (I think that is what he said) We were on the road the other day and it wasent pretty. You could leave him without really trying.

my father has a 2003 kawasaki vulcan 1600 and everytime i race him with my 92 gsxr 600 i smoke him so im sure that the shadow has no chance i also formerly owned an 86 shadow 1100 and i can tell you i enjoy my gsxr much more

I own a '03 Honda Shadow Sabre 1100 with a stage 3 jet kit and modified exhaust, and I am just getting through with the break in on my 05' GSX-R600. I can blow the wheels off a 750 with my 1100, but my 1100 won't touch the 600. They are two different animals. My 1100 red lines around 7 grand and the Gixxer turns 15500. PLEASE SMOKE HIS ASS... DO IT FOR ALL OF US! :laughingr
