went down yesterday

was out riding for about a hour or so and was hit by a truck :thumbup: , well it was in c-bus area near 104 east and alum creek, was merging to get over in left hand lane on a 3 way street (all in same direction) well truck and i both were getting towards center lane at same time and i guess i took the worse of it, ended up hitting the side of the truck at about 50 mph, jumped up right away though, helmet is little tarred up (i can buff the stuff off it) doesnt look like any scratches, the bike well that suffered some damage, clutch cover was scraped up, left faring cracked alittle, tail was in a few pieces, tail light gone, subframe (rear tail section is was cracked and missing parts), sliders were missing(not sure how those came off, but they are gone) left side shifting peg was crack and bent, other than that thats about all that happend, i was cited for something not exactly sure what it was though but officer said its not a major offense and i wont get point on my license,(i need to check into that) insurance will cover it, going to be talking to them today and hopefully getting all that done soon, all i suffered was a little scrape on my arm and its little bruised, other than that im just little pissed off that it happend but im good, sorry i have no pics, no digital camera, so hopefully ill have bike back up and riding w/in a week, hope progressive gets shit done quick

Man sounds like you had more damage to your bike then mine had when someone hit james a couple weeks ago and the ins people are caiming it as a total loss... Waiting for their total loss department to get to me with a settlement office right now...

i hope my bike isnt total loss, but it looks pretty bad now, it was rideable and all, i didnt have the shifter peg but i was able to shift it, i recieved call about 30 minutes ago and im going to have to work with c-bus office up here instead of cincy office, so hopefully i ll get a call soon and get the bike repaired ASAP, dont really want it to be totalled though, i just put on a high mount micron exhaust ( no damage to it during the wreck :bounce ) how bad was your bike

sliders were missing(not sure how those came off, but they are gone) Thats cuz there only ment for an impact, a small slide and then they break off. But its good that ur o.k espcially colliding with a bigger vehicle. Sh!t when i crashed into a damn mini coop, my bike was a total loss. Well thats cuz that drunk bastard pulled out in front of me. :damn:

well insurance came by to look at the bike, theyll be in contact with me on sunday about the estimate, ???does insurance just cut a check and allow you to go and have it fixed at a dealer? or can i order the parts myself and fix it

The damage was not bad at all mostly road rash but estimate still 5270.24..... That's oem replacements for everything.. Hell the muffler alone was 998.88 And what the ins does I believe depends on what state your insuranced/ insurance company is from

so i would probably have to take mine to dealer to have a better esitmate for everything? the insurance agent just looked at everything and all and told me ill contact you with quote, i have option of taking bike where ever i want to have it fixed she told me
