http://www.motorcyclenews.com/MCN/sp...ducati800ride/ Ferrari Formula One legend Michael Schumacher has shown he is no slouch on two wheels today in Valencia with an incredible performance on Casey Stoner's world championship-winning factory Ducati. Seven-times Formula One world champion Schumacher has clocked an incredible best lap of 1.37.89 in a special guest ride on Stoner's GP7. That time is just a fraction over five seconds outside of Dani Pedrosa's new lap record, which the Spaniard set in winning the Valencia GP yesterday. Repsol Honda rider Pedrosa's new lap record in the 30-lap race was a 1.32.748.

He is definitely COOOOL guy! in his almost 40 - I mean who from F1 racing would dare to sit on a roadbike, moreover watched by journalists ... But guys, if you read how many laps and what support he had and what bike he was sitting on, I guess most of us would approach such time too...

A friend of mine had told me at the begining of the 07 Moto GP season that Rossi had backed out of a contract with Ferrari Formula 1 at the last minute to continue his career in GP. I had heard that Rossi was given the opportunity to drive a Formula 1 car and he bashed Schumacher's lap record the first time out. But, thats just what I was told, I havent researched it as of yet! :hmmm:

It didn't look to me that he was going all that fast. :hmmm:

He didn't bash Schumachers record, he came within 1 second of it. And Rossi has driven a Ferrari F1 car http://youtube.com/watch?v=x9-t2t0zo8U http://www.crash.net/motorsport/motogp/news/124803-0/rossi_matches_f1_regulars.html

Is there anything that man can not do... Four wheels or two wheels that man can do it all..

I'm sure having a MotoGP bike didn't hurt... But guys, if you read how many laps and what support he had and what bike he was sitting on, I guess most of us would approach such time too... Keep kidding yourself...:funny:
