Get a K&N, PC3, and a slip-on that eliminates the cat. (even this setup will put you well beyond your means)Dont you feel much better now that I saved you at least 600 bucks worth of upgrades that you'll never need? Thank you come again.:) you da man 11-25-2007, 09:26 PM Best advice I could give you on this is to find a very reputable shop that does lots of custom mapping. Call them up or drop by and speak to the dyno technician and find out what kind of numbers they are seeing with whatever brands of exhaust and filters. There are so many good exhaust companies out there, Yoshi, Arrow, Sato, Akrapovic, Arrata, etc... Mr645 11-26-2007, 04:57 AM The best upgrade is one that removes all the excess weight from the '07. Get rid of the dual cans. The difference between using the stock Titanium header and an aftermarket midpipe and can vs. a full system is not huge.
But overall, the post above is a good list of systems that typically deliver excellent performance & build quality.
Find a good shop to tune a Power Commander, and don't pay any attention to the numbers on the dyno, just watch the curve compared to stock. For a street bike look for power in the midrange, as you won't likely be spending much time at 12k RPM. Look for power in the 5-8k range, or at least don't give up power in the mids for more top end hp. WoodShoe 11-26-2007, 09:43 AM is this your first bike?
