This does take a bit of trouble shooting skill , but it should at least get anyone int he ballpak if the battery is dying or not charging.

No, usually its a dead battery. If the battery is holding a charge but isn't chargning while riding, then its the stator or regulator/rectifier. pbussey 09-14-2006, 09:39 PM Thats a pretty nice set of troubleshooting instructions! should prove helpful to our new engine guys ian b 01-08-2007, 03:29 PM what should the voltage be at idle, got an acumen cat1 alarm thats telling me its picking up 15V's and more at idle, have checked this and getting a reading of 14.75 - 15.00v, spoke to some dealers in my area and they say this is a normal reading. need to sort this before something goes bang.
