9 times out of 10 if the battery aint holding charge its the rectifier right? At least that has been in my situations.

9 times out of 10 if the battery aint holding charge its the rectifier right? At least that has been in my situations. No, usually its a dead battery. If the battery is holding a charge but isn't chargning while riding, then its the stator or regulator/rectifier.

what should the voltage be at idle, got an acumen cat1 alarm thats telling me its picking up 15V's and more at idle, have checked this and getting a reading of 14.75 - 15.00v, spoke to some dealers in my area and they say this is a normal reading. need to sort this before something goes bang. ian b
