And the story: Being a stunter, I got tired of never having a "nice" bike. (plus I wasn't any good) I am a Honda guy at heart, and when I went to buy the 07 1000RR, I didn't like anything about it. Then I saw the 07 gsxr 1k and it was a match made in heaven. My boss from my other job, talked me into running it down the drag strip, and I was instantly hooked. So thats my story, stunter turned dragracer, honda guy turned into a suzuki lover.

love that bike man - great work with it all
Morbid Mind Racing 01-08-2008, 01:29 PM I have the yellow/silver also and I have to say that that just looks F'n awesome!!!!!!! :thumbup:x2 Also...seeing it done that way makes me wanna say that is how Suzuki SHOULD have done the color scheme to begin with!!! I wouldnt mind doing this to mine, but I am runnin the TaylorMade Exhaust...so wouldnt look right doing the lower section in silver (plus id hate to paint over the carbon fibre trim peices that came with the kit). As far as the front air intakes, front 1/2 of the tank, front fender and the piece below the tank and seat........did you just paint these peices? Or is this something available aftermarket? If the latter....cough up the site to find this stuff... Again...looks awesome. Fantastic job!!!
Dr Pepper 01-08-2008, 01:34 PM Very nicely done. I love stretched 1000's.

I painted them, the tank sides were sanded some due to the raised cecker design, then I sprayed it with filler primer. On the front tank cover, I sanded the two sharp edges off of the top and made them smooth. Thanks everyone for the approval, now post your bikes.
Morbid Mind Racing 01-08-2008, 01:54 PM Heres a pic of mine prior to installing black Shogun frame sliders and swingarm spools. I had a few ideas of some other things to do to it before spring got here, but after seeing what you have done...may have changed my mind. But you can see why I said I couldnt do the lower section in silver here. I guess technically I could, but being black/carbon fibre.....its helps hide the exhaust tip (wink) where being silver...I think it would stand out like a sore thumb.

you bike looks really sweet
crash9116 06-21-2008, 09:53 PM sorry for not responding to your comments, I shipped out to Iraq back in Feb, and just now got internet installed. As for the question about the TRE, I tried both kinds that Schnitz offers, and the reguar TRE does only allow the indicator to read 5th gear. However, the speed sensor that they offer alows the reading to go up to 6th gear.
Thanks for all of the positive remarks, I sure do miss my baby.
