This is my first Sportbike, I have always owned Harleys and Dirtbikes. I bought the bike in November 2006 and havent looked back since, I love this bike. It remained stock for awhile then a friend convinced me to take the mudflap off and then it began.. http://farm1.static.flickr.com/154/340311261_56e63faad9.jpghttp://farm1.static.flickr.com/165/340311262_6adfc6bbe2.jpg I made my own plate for the undertail and then put a DB Windscreen on it because the wind coming off that damn stock one would smack me right in the neck. about 6 months ago I put and Arrow Exhaust on it.. http://farm1.static.flickr.com/184/442813630_9f28c55a4d.jpghttp://farm3.static.flickr.com/2313/1519095691_824564c9a1.jpg I was plenty happy with the bike as is, till the Morning of October 18, 2007 when I had a 18 wheeler spill fuel all over the road in front of me which caused me to go down.. :( http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2050/1641054177_06a2b4054e.jpghttp://farm3.static.flickr.com/2179/1641055825_8e5b30d99a.jpg Since I had full coverage on the bike the gave me a check for fixing it and since I was going to fix it myself I was able to get myself some goodies for the bike.. I bought some Marchesini Wheels, Pazzo Levers,Pro grip Gel Grips, PCIII, BMC Race Fliter and RK Gold XRing Chain and Driven Sprockets (-1/+0) along with replacing all the damaged Plastics and other parts.. http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2079/2108682419_259b85b925_b.jpg http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2385/2109458830_745c8e6e17_b.jpg Just giving a lil Info on the bike.. :D

WOW!!! That had to suck...but very nice job with the rebuild, looks great!!! I kinda wish they had this color scheme on the 1000...the traditional blue/white just get worse and worse with each year. Out of curiousity...how much did the wheels run you and where did you get them? Wouldnt mind having a pair like that on mine eventually. Again, good job...very clean bike, even after the fact of laying it down. http://img232.imageshack.us/img232/4434/p1000240rr4pn3.jpg (http://imageshack.us)

I bought them from Indy Superbike for $1500 shipped.. It was a year end thing that I got them for cheaper then they are now.. :D Oh yeah, future plans are: Galfer Rotors and Lines and that is it..

But that beat the hell out of my local dealers (but they all pricks here anyways:headshake). Last time I checked on a pair of wheels here they want close to 3K.....WTF??? Why are bike wheels so damn expensive???

They are going for like $1850 @ MotoMummy and $1845 over at Indysuperbike, hope this helps you get on some Marchs.. I would get them in Gold for your bike.. :D MotoMummy Link: http://www.motomummy.com/store/product.php?productid=16285&cat=260&page=1 Indy Superbike Link: http://www.indysuperbike.com/customer/product.php?productid=115524&cat=22899&page=1

Im not sure which type of wheels they gave me a price on, I pointed a picture out in a catalog, they did their little thing with the computer and thats the price they told me.....didnt ask anything as to what "type". I will be looking into some though eventually....have so much other stuff planned for this bike right now, might have to hold off for awhile.

Hey Mike, I bought mine in Oct. of 2008 same color and absolutely love it! Awesome pics by the way have been enjoying them as my desktop. :D really like what you did with yours! I live in the Pacific North West. I've put almost 9k on her so far. Took her to SBNW this year and had a great time. put on about 3k just for that. Mods so far: Moved the pegs to the lowest setting Disabled the muffer flapper in the full open psn. Fender eliminator Puig smoked double bubble Pilot Powers Adjusted suspension for SAG. she is my daily ride! (Purests please look away at this point) Heli bars I really like the wider grip they afford. heated grips for riding through the winter months motorcycle guys sport rack with water tight bag from bags.com for my laptop. I hate wearing a backpack and decent tank bags are almost non existent for this bike. thanks again for all the great pics! Keep'em coming! Would love to see yours with the wavey rotors! Cheers, Mark aka Motoscout
