Salmon Falls Road

I took a spin up one of my favorite trails in the 916 - Salmon Falls Road over the weekend. Plusses - Minimal traffic in the winter time, no speed patrols observed. Minuses - Wet roads, and the recent storm left mud and wet leaf patches on the road, mainly in the most inopportune places. Home boy's rear tire was sliding around too much on the mud patches for comfort. I could open it up a little bit on the stretch from the lake parking area to Green Valley Road, which was drier. Just had to rant.

Salmon Falls is great, but Wentworth Springs to Ice house Road is awesome. Was at Salmon Falls on Sunday, same pavement condition:headshake .

yea, the one time i got to go out to wentworth, the rain season was just beginning - the riders i was with advised against riding it out since the wet spots were also the hardest turns that day...

i don't recommend it, some parts of the road could still be icy and it's hard to tell if it's not.
