palm springs and hwy 74 ride this weekend

those of you who rode with us sunday should already know about this.since this is my neck of the woods i will lead this one.i plan to do this saturday but if the scedule calls for it i can change it.the plan is meet at the kickstand bar and grill at 10:00.its on the strip in palm springs.we will meet and greet each other first then take of we will ride through palm springs on the 111 then end up on the 74.when we get to the 74 we will take a slow practice run up and back.we will go as far as the conditions allow us or we will stop at the top at a diner.we can stop and eat there and rest before we do it some more untill everyone has had there fill.after we can head back downtown and check out the nightlife.let me know who is coming,dont so i can prepare.remember this is a canyon road.for the ones that are new to this road,do not try to show off or ride at someone elses pace.we will routinly stop if needed to keep the group together.just do your best to have fun without getting hurt.if there are any questions feel free to ask me.

some more things to add to the list.be sure to bring your gear.helment(obviously)gloves,jacket are required for this ride otherwise we will not ride with you.if you are missing these items let me know,i might be able to get what you need.also keep in mind that it may get cold with the elevation so wear something warm underneath.in the event of a crash everyone will stop.remember if u see someone crash honk the horn or rev loudly to let the others know to pull over.

Got you PM but Palm Springs is way to far for me to be there at 10am. I have to drop off my puppy every saturday for medicated baths due to allergy and pick him back up between 2 and 3pm. Not to mention sunday im heading out for another fun filled day of playing in the dirt. If you guys plan something a little closer to LA/ OC area let me know and I can go. Or after my dog is done with these damn baths

i think it would take me 2 or 3 hours to get to palm springs from my house at least. I know i passed it on my way to havasu before and thats the only time i have ever been out there. and i have to wait till at least 2pm to pick up the dog so about time i get out there it would be dark. thanks for the offer how ever maybe once the Mutt is done with these baths i can take such a iron butt trip.

are you taking 74 all the way towards 241 to Idyllwild ? Or just to the top at paradise corners ? Depending on things around here I might try to make this one .. will have to see ...

it all depends on the weather.if it permits i would like to hit them both,but this time of year it gets a little chilly and some will be new to riding so if the raods out there start to get a bit crazy then i will probably find another route.it would be great to get go all the way through though.i look forward to riding with you.
