Hey guys,
I have a 2006 GSXR 600 and im thinking of finally modding my license plate set-up. Im thinking of buying these license plate bolts off ebay:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=280194601736&ssPageName=ADME:X:RTQ:MOTORS:1123
I plan to use this to light my license plate.
Have any of you used this on this bike or any other bike? How do they work? Was it difficult to install? Any advice is appreciated. Thanks. Sebastian

Welcome to posting, see you've been lurking for over a year now. Those lights look like they'll do the trick. For $18, not bad. Although you can get sets cheaper. Install is a snap, you can just wire them in to the factory plate light wiring (hope you didn't cut it).
thnx. ya i didnt relle have much to post about before.
umm. i was about to cut it. how do i wire it to the previous wiring. i looks like a plug type of thing; i was going to cut right before the plug and solder the wires. how would i do it your way?
btw, where can i get them for cheaper? thanks

Number of ways to wire them- you can replace the connector, with matched ends; you can take the connector from the old light and wire it on the new lights, or you can cut the wires, of course- won't really hurt anything. I'm just not a fan of cutting, so that it can easily be put back to factory.
And I don't know about getting those specific lights cheaper, just saying that there are LED's for less. Those have a clean housing and have the bolt, so those actually are a decent price considering.
can i jsut easily pull that factory plug connector out or is there specific way to do this? thanks for the advice so far

Just disconnects- it's down low in the right side tail.
o ok thanks for mentioning that. i kept thinking i was supposed to unplug it where it connects to the black plastic hanging down.

With mine I just cut the factory wires and split them to all the leds on my plate the 4 blue bolt leds and the 2 white led strips that light my license plate. I thought about using those. I know that CycleGear carrys those in their store. http://www.cyclegear.com/dept.cfm
Here is mine:

I put heat shrink over the wires and connections to protect them from any water. The blue leds are really bright at night so from behind I am really visible.
