Does anyone have any input on this? I am getting ready to up hp to 200plus on rear wheel and Im looking at the plus and negatives between the wheelie bar and lowering links when i drag race, Between the both i still have to install them so either way i need to put the bike up to work on. But other than that does anyone have 2 cents they can put in about it? Your help is much appreciated.

Alot of drag strips will have street drag point series. Most of those won't aloow the wheelie bars. On the wheelie not.. you can extend it and have basicaly one large wheelie bar (not quiet) and work out fine.

depending on what your wanting to do with it at the strip, extending it should be fine. There are pros and cons about wheelie bars. You can launch harder than ever with them, no comparison what so ever. But, if you don't have a chassis that can handle the power, you will tear shit up. Hope this was of any help.

If not set up properly you will have much wheel spin.

I can always count on you steve to be the negative nancy of the bunch. Thanks fella!!! I havent seen you runnin around the track this year yet. And last time i checked you really didnt want to play the launching game with me cause your clutch has a boo boo. So hurry it up and fix it so i can bring your head back out of those clouds its in. he he he On the wheelie bar the tire hook up isnt the issue on set up, it comes with a strut to take out your oem rear shock. So it drops it 3.5 inches as well as eliminating any sort of preload issues. I dont believe im running enough hp to hurt the chassis (sub frame) but i could be wrong on that one. But i was thinkin maybe someone might have any info on track times using wheelie bars as opposed to lowering links. Im assuming there cant be that much of a difference between the two other than the price. Im just thinkin between the nos and wheelie bar and front straps its gotta run in the low 9's quarter mile.

I would look at putting the lowering links on there for how inexpensive they are, and then get a lock up clutch. cuz once you put that 50 shot on, its gonna strain your clutch.

Check your class rules..... a wheelie bar will most likely put you in a class you may not want to compete in.
