Hi All, I just logged on Today. My Hubby has been on the site for a while and he just bought me a GSXR 1000. I am signed up to take the MSF course in Washington at the end of this month. I am really excited about how many women riders there are in the area. I can't wait to meet all of you. Angii

Not just to own a 1000. Buy a 250 or 500 or 6 but stay away from the 1k. My 2 cents........but WELCOME...................

I disagree with pig. The 1k is as light as the 6 and the power only comes into affect if you make it. She can handle it if she rides properly. Hell, you can 12 O'clock a 500 if ya come off the clutch hard enough! I don't think she is gonna be stunting or riding over 130 mph, which a 6 can do easily.

I understand everyones concern and I appreciate it,, I know my limits and that is why I am taking the MSF course to refresh,, My last bike was a 750 and that is when I was 15-18. I am not a little girl and I am can touch the ground just fine,, thanks

f*k it, if u want the 1000 get it, i personally love the beast.....750 has more than enough power they trying to kill us with the gixxer 1000 haha i love it, as long as you can ride it like you should..if you start getting beat by a 600 you should sell it, my boy got an 03 R1 for his first bike this summer and can wheelie it at over 100 mph, he is insane though hell do it for miles...some people are just natural, some people dont belong on one...if the 1000 is for you go for it...its your life not mine...good luck :thumbup: :twofinger
