Good idea.. out of time. (for admins)

When i saw this thread early in Januar, i thought, this is a good idea for guys to show off their bikes and hopefully get picked as a bike of the month candidate.. i signed my bike up as well as alot of guys with exellent bikes.. februar came, and no nominee?? threads where started, asking when the bike would be picked, NO reply from admins?? i sent PM to one admin asking when this would be, and he forwarded it to someone else, who never replied? I find it insulting to all candidates that admins don´t answer simple question like previous threat regarding when this nominee is going down. If you don´t plan to follow this idea through.. please delete this whole category called "bike of the month". GOOD idea, made bad by admins. Reg Gix

I agree, I mean, I understand things get hectic and ppl get busy, but if your gonna start it you gotta follow-up, AT LEAST by letting people know if there is going to be a delay

I second everyone. I was so excited to let people see all my hard work and hope that it would be liked enough to become one of the winners, but to my dismay not even given a chance to be voted on. Month has come and gone and even if voted, the winner gets there pic up for what a week or maybe 2:headshake:lame::wtf:

I believe the point is, February is nearing an end, and there is no February bike of hte month. I believe a little bit more organization is in order for the Bike of the Month to keep going, cause as everyone has said, its a geat idea!

Stricklye where did you get that seat? I have the same bike and was looking for a similar seat. I want one that is just white and silver though. I don't ride passengers so I just want the main seat. Did you do it yourself or...

Def. needs some work, it's a great idea and seems to have caught on quick, don't kill it just cause you don't feel like fuckin' with it!!!

i thought it was cool. plus it gives guys a certain sense of satisfaction for a job well done. atleast, i would think so. also wondering if this new merger with rider forums or motorcycle links, whatever it was, is hendering morale of mods???? i noticed sometimes the site doesn't even load up or takes forever (broadband here) and is making mods jobs harder correcting problems. the site just seems like it's trying to get too big too quick.

Thanks everyone for your concerns. this is currently not a feature that is maintained by the current staff. we have begain a discussion with the owners and are trying to find a mod to own that feature and be in charge of following up and keeping it up to date. please stand by growing pains are always just that painfull :thumbup:

Apologies all. We had some staff transitions and while i thought this was being handled by staff here, they thought I was dealing with it. A communication breakdown and it certainly was NOT the mods fault. Lyte- and I are taking care of it. We'll be appointing a mod to handle this in collaboration with my news editor. jim
