Hey all,
I'm thinking about purchasing the shoei caster tc-5 Rf-1000 helmet. QUESTION???? Does anyone have one of these? If so How do you like it? How is the noise level inside of the helmet? The reason I ask is because I have had 2 icon helmets that didn't filter noise very well, and I don't like riding with ear plugs in. If you haven't had any experience with this helmet could you recommend a helmet that filters noise well. Thanks All.....

I have the black/Yellow GSXR RF1000. Get the RF1000. Its about as good as a helmet can get, IMO

I'VE HAD A shoei helmet in the past and they are good, but i wear helmet speakers and you where able to hear slight wind comming threw the helmet even with the speakers in.I just purchased a shark helmet a night and day difference over shoei, they are much lighter and 1/2 the price of a shoei and they also have a better raiting. check them out

+1 to the RF1000. I have an Arai as well and while the Arai has a more comfy liner, the 1000 filters air noise better and fits my head better. Good lid for the money!
I have the all black metallic RF-1000 and love it........I usually have headphones on while I ride too, but dont blast the music so I can still hear while I ride. Over all great helmet and fit and the price was good.:thumbup:

I have an RF-1000, and I love mine as well. No helmet is going to filter wind noise significantly enough for you to disregard the use of earplugs. If you value your hearing - and I mean this seriously - ....you will continue to use earplugs/noise cancellation headphones.
