Anyone from northern CT. New to area

Looking for people to ride with and the skinny on the twisties in CT or southern Mass. Live in Farmington Valley area.

WE the crash crew hit route 7 in CT after we leave marcus dairy. We head north on 7 and cut across 44/55 back thru NY. We have to explore 7 all the way up to Mass..........:hmmm:

Think I know where 7 is. Have to check it out more though.

I grew up in the Simsbury area and am normally up there on weekends to ride with friends

Im in northern CT. there are some decent roads for riding out around farmington. welcome to the area. im acutally forced to ride to work today (not that its a bad thing) because the starter decided to take a shit on my car.

when do you guys go to marcus i am from the brookfield/danbury area

Cool. Glad to hear there are some people around. Simsbury is a great town but kind of sleepy when it comes to sportbikers. Illbe down to ride when ever Im around.. Travel lots for work so I have kind of a crazy schedule. Does anyone do track days. Getting my bike ready to start this summer I hope. Anyway well have to set up a ride sometime then. Look forward to meeting more people up in the area.

Bye the way I grew up down in Monroe and still have family down that way so i get down there once and a while too.

My bike is actually stored in East Granby for the winter. Coming up on Sunday to get it. I live in Wilton now about 20 minutes from Marcus Dairy. Are they doing it this year as I heard that Marcus Dairy was sold and the Sundays are off?

Marcus Dairy is right next to the Danbury Mall on Rt 7

WE had lunch there this sunday around 2pm. They are having one last super sunday there the last weekend in April. And I think the doors will be closed for good sometime in may. That is the lastest info WE got this sunday.

i'm livin in boston right now but the roads around here suck! i'm from hartford area originally. i'll prolly start ridin northern Ct again soon. northeastern ct more specifically. pm me if you wanna meet up sometime. my two roommates will prolly join too

yea bigelow hollow. any roads around pomfret and woodstock. just google maps rts 320 and 244 near westford, ct. doesn't that look like fun!? can't wait to get out of this damn city!!

I heard there is some crazy road down in southwest CT. Cant remember what it was though.. Something like you can go over the edge if your not careful. Heard its like a mini Deals Gap.

yea i'm all set with death. considering it would be like 2 and a half hours for me to get there.. NE ct isnt bad from boston tho, well worth it for the roads. i usually make it up as i go along and carry a map! :thumbup:

Thats about what I do. Get lost with a map and make it up.

H'lo all, am in New Haven. Hit up Rt. 34 for the first time today. Rode out for an hour West on 34. Great road. Discovered a beeeyoootiful little backroad. Hit me up if any of you are ever in the area and want to ride.

I am from enfield. Far from new to the area, but new to my 05 GSXR 600. Just got it last week, moved up from a gs500. Heading out east rt32 is pretty good out by UCONN Stores campus. 44 aint bad either, been there in my car. It seems to me that eastern ct has more long uninterupted twisties than western. I just took a bunch of back roads today thru windsor and ended up in hartford all of a sudden. :) Just out looking for some fun new roads.

There are a lot of good roads in the northwest out by Limerock. Anyone going to Marcus Dairy for the last Sunday?

Was out today. turned out nice after the clouds moved out. Took a ride out East Hartford to go check out the Ducati dealership. Some nice bikes. Im not to far from Enfield and will wonder just about anywhere for a reason to ride. Ill be around tomorrow if its nice

im from ansonia, CT but im in college during the week up in RI. i pick up my bike on saturday and my uncle will be teaching me how to ride. once i get the hang of it and take my MSC, i would be down to ride :D

Cool, ill have to check it out. Head to Florida tomorrow for a little R&R . Be back to ride about second week in May. We should set up a CT group ride. Ill check out band of riders also.

I am in southbury CT, i have not really ridden much in CT, i usually ride upstate new york with a few guys. a CT group ride would be sweet.

Im down for anything. Where in Upstate NY?? I ride with a friend in southern NH and VT. Nice up there too. Just trying to learn the area around here though.

i ride all over upstate new york, but my cousin lives in cobleskill so we start there and ride up into the catskil mountains, ride RT10 and somtimes we ride into the adirondack mountains also.

Ive riden up in the adirondack mountains but only on my cruiser. Nice up there.

I'm in Middletown CT. I actually go up to the area of RT 20 - RT 8 all the time for some good mountain riding.

Ive done the rt 8 thing up to Lee Mass and cut back over and down to 10/202 which brings me back home. Im trying to find out about east/southeast ct. I was talking to a guy at the ducati dealership and he said there's sick road down that way. Also looking for anyone into doing track days up in NHIS or down in NJ. Will post a threat up for maybe the weekend after this coming for a possible group ride???

Good to see there are some Gixxers here in the Farmington Vallye area. Just started riding late last season so I'm definetly looking for some good roads to ride on this year. My wife grew up in the Millbrook NY area, so I'm used to the roads from Farm. Valley to their. I think if you take Rt. 4 through Harwinton, Litchfield and then hit up 163? to Goshen and hop back on 4 to Cornwall and beyond you won't be disappointed. Lot's of twisties and straight-aways to open it up.
