Mechanical Failure

Just wondering how many people out there have crashed from pure mechanical failure i.e. blowout, chain, blown engine, ignition, or anything else? Tell me your stories.

was scared twice. Once chain broke. but did not go down. Another time rear tire went flat while cruising at a bit over 100mph. got very wiggly as I slowed down but again, stopped safely
