Before and after hal 06-23-2005, 07:29 PM DAAAYYYAAAAMMMM!!! I like the first one better. How did you make out? Gear? I thought that when you lower the bike it's harder to bring the front end up. I guess not.... Hope your ok, I'm sure the bike has seen better days. Heartlandgixxer 06-23-2005, 07:36 PM Actually after a pavement surfing on my knees and elbows----then onto my shoulder and back, a bump in the road popped back over on my feet and walked away. Bruised a little though.
Thank the lord for gear.
All I can say for the bike, it's now :poo: mr_gsxr750 06-23-2005, 07:41 PM approx. how fast were you going? glad to hear your ok! hal 06-23-2005, 07:54 PM Is, or should I say was that a FS6 slider? I haev a set I haven't put on and if it is, I will probably get another set instead of putting it on. Heartlandgixxer 06-23-2005, 07:58 PM I figured i was rolling about 40-50mph (hard to say exactly, my gearing was -1F, +3R) in first when I snapped the throttle and it decide to shoot vertical instantly. You would definitely think the 2 1/4 inch drop would help it not shoot up like that, but with that much gearing, it was useless. Would have hated to see what might have happened at stock height :headscrat . I guess it couldn't have been much worse huh! Heartlandgixxer 06-23-2005, 08:18 PM Is, or should I say was that a FS6 slider? Yes it "was". don't let this discourage you from using them. Any slider wouldn't have helped on a wreck like this. if the bike would have just slid they would have helped, but it went upside down, bounced several times, and ended up facing the opposite direction on the curb. perversepolisher 06-24-2005, 07:32 AM I know exactly how you feel - flipped my thou in Novemeber
Bruised arse was (fortunately) the only damage to me - unless you consider the huge whack my wallet took shorly afterwards to repair it.

Buy a crf50 and practice covering the rear break you will see that it covers you if you go vert. I learned a TON on my fiddy and covering the break is one. A lot of the stunters have a hand break for the rear so in high chair wheelie you can get it back or they are on the break most of the time to just bounce it off the vert point.
Sorry to hear of crash it SUCKS. but ur ok and still alive. robertedwingsxr 06-24-2005, 08:17 AM at least you all are both fine and can live to tell about it..........and us others can hopefully learn from it........
