I think I wasted my money....

I upgraded from a k7 600 to a k7 750 and to be honest with you...I don't really feel a noticeable power increase. I have yet to redline it since I am breaking it in but I have been to the left side of 12k and I am not impressed. WTF is up. This is lame. Once its broken in I'm going to have to take it to the track and see if it runs any faster.

shoulda got the 1000.. it got mode switch ;-) you'd have the best of all 3 world.. I think the GSXR 750 is probably the ultimate track weapon, but it's basically a 600 with a bit more juice. It's not going to be a huge difference, but maybe that's testimony to how good the 600 is. Don't question your purchase, because that's an awesome machine. It just all depends on how much raw power you're looking for. If that's the case, just work with what you have. Power commander, sprockets, exhaust, and get it mapped. You'll have a bike that can keep with most anyone..........that is if you know how to ride it. :D

If you've not been right of 12k then you've not hit peak horsepower. I don't have a stock dyno chart handy but at 11-12k you're probably putting down just over 100hp, which would explain why it feels like your 600. Peak hp hits areound 13.5-14k. Brake it in and then run it up and you'll notice a difference. Or if you want a more concrete comparison do some roll ons against a 600 - even a modded one. If they aren't on spray it won't be any contest. Yes, a 750 is almost identical to the 600 except for displacement. However the additional 20rwhp is a big difference- you just haven't had it high enough to feel it yet.

There is a noticeable difference. I have an 06 gsxr750, and my buddy has an 06 gsxr600, both are stock. I have much more midrange than him, and pull up top as well, and I weigh 50 lbs more than he does.

the 750 is a much more powerfull bike and I would def choose one over the 600. I had a 05 dropped one tooth in the front had a full yoshi and pc dyno mapped and vstacks. I didnt have the power of my 1000 but it would destroy any non sprayed 600 and depending on the rider beat some 1000s plus it was lighter feeling and less touchy in the corners. the 750s rule man I wouldnt feel bad at all. I sometimes think I wasted my money on a 1000 because there is no where on the street you can come anywhere close to what this thing will do.

i know its alot more than just cc's that makes a bike more powerful but with that said. You got to understand it is only a 150cc difference. People have this impression that a 750 is middle of the road between a 600 and a 1000. May be thats how you expected it would be but It's not. It's 150cc more but 250cc less. Now an 800cc bike would suit as a middle of the pack bike.//// Anyway dont feel you lost your money cause the 750 is a grrrreeeeaaaatttt bike!! And you now have one!!!

I went from an 06 600 with full Yoshi TRC, pcIII, and BMC race air filter and all that good stuff to a 07 750 stock except for -1 on the front sprocket and my 600 wouldnt even touch the 750. Go -1 on the front sprocket and then see if you like it then.

I've heard 600 guys saying they will whip a 750 all day long. I figured they were just talking.

With a PC, map, exhaust, and filter, my k7 750 is doing 134hp at the wheel. My roomy has the same mods to his k6 600, and mine has noticeably more power, even with his +2 gearing on the rear. First track day I did with my 750, I took 3 seconds off my fastest time with the 600.

I dunno what you're feeling. But I've had 2 750s, the 04 and 05 are torquier than the new ones, but it wasn't even a comparison. The 04/5 750 wants to lift up the front wheel when you hit it. The newer 750s are a lil lacking down low anyway. But break that sucker in, get it serviced...you'll notice a difference

I can feel a difference in my 06 750 vs. my GSXR600 and my R6. Like someone mentioned, above 12k rpm it's pretty sweet but my 06 750 is geared -2 in the front (17 is stock so running 15 is safe) and it's track only. I could see your point since this 750 you just got is a street bike vs a street 600. However, take it above 12k-13k rpm

i took mine to redline a few times when i first got my k7 600. and it only had 2 miles on it. the people at the dealership said it would be fine bring it to redline before you hit the recommened miles just dont do it all the time.

My 07 750 seems to have loosened up after break-in. It feels much stronger the more I ride it. Perhaps you need to give it some time.

What RPM are you riding at? I find it hard to believe you don't notice a dif. between a 600 and 750 if you are running anywhere above 5-6K RPM. I rode a 600 (R6)this summer. It was a dog up utnil 8krpm. my 750 pulls all the way through. Big dif between the 600 and 750.

The 06 and newer 750s lack the low and mid range grunt of the 00-05 750s. But like everyone says, once that 750 is broken in you will feel a difference. The 750 will feel like a 600 on steroids!!!:arsenal

get next to a 600 and the 750 will keep pulling past it. when the 6 is pegged the 7 will hav that extra grunt to keep going. if ya wanted amazing shouldev gone with a liter. or... let that bitch breath better. get it tuned

Your hit the nail on the head!! my 05 750 is alot more usable on the street than my 1k.
