In today’s economic environment people are generally looking for bargains and or ways to use alternate products to save money that will still get the job done. In the motorcycle market some of you are using diesel oils and a few automotive oils to save money on servicing your bikes. With this said I would like to let you know that at AMSOIL we have several synthetic oils that meet motorcycle and wet clutch spec’s that are priced lower than our premium motorcycle oils. For those of you that still want to use a diesel oil in your bike we can save you money on that product as well, although we are not recommending it's use in your bike. Some of these lower priced synthetic oils will save over $3.00 a quart at retail prices placing them just a dollar or two above dino oil prices. Spending an extra $5.00 to $10.00 on an oil change is peanuts when compared to gas prices since gas is used in a hurry, but good oil is working for you for many miles before it’s work is done. Our AMSOIL dealer group is offering bottom line prices to forum members so when dealing with us you are saving money on AMSOIL products plus helping support this site through our advertising dollars. I would like to see what the AMSOIL dealer group feels is legitimate pricing for their product. I recently was quoted $45 to put the Moto lube in my GSX-R 600 (OIL Price only). Is this par for the course? That seems a bit excessive for 3+ quarts of synthetic oil.

Although it may make a conpany look bad when there are people selling at a higher price, there is nothing that company can do about it legally. I can tell you what Retail is on the product and you can take it from there. I will assume it was the 10W-40 Product Code MCF for this... $9.95 per qt would be Retail Price Plus they may add shipping cost to that which is about 80 cents per qt. Depending on where the shop is.. $11.95-12.95 would not be out of line.. As far as our Dealer Group Pricing. Most of us sell at discounted pricing which corporate policy does not allow us to advertise. Bob Schultz

Thanks for the clarification. I'll be sure to pick up my AMSoil from my local independant dealer as opposed to my local shop next time. I've recently found pricing around $8 / qt. - A price I can live with.

I've recently found pricing around $8 / qt. - A price I can live with. Just make sure you are buying the right Product Code... The Rtail Price I gave you was for MCF 10W-40 which is our MotorCycle Specific oil. $8.00 sounds like it may be one of our other oils.. Bob Schultz
