You just pay up front a few bucks (I think it's like $12 or something here in MD). Then you just set it to replenish once it drops to a $5 balance. That's it. Relatively small. People put them up under the cowl, or down low under the screen, or you can put it in your pocket. This is all it is........ http://img.zdnet.com/techDirectory/_EZPASS.JPG

yes its the same tag as cars (which in my opinion is stupid) and no there are no yearly or monthly fees...just what you use in tolls. I have it and its set to replenish everytime it goes below a certian amount. I have it linked to Credit Card.

yeah its the same as the car except on the other side it has a big "M" for motorcycle. i mount my on my windscreen. i don't know where you're from, but some people have difficulties getting the tag read when you cross queens NY bridges(throggs, triboro, whitestone). Since they have a toll gate, you have to wait for the cop to come and scan your ezpass. Like i said, it only happens to some people. Unfortunately i'm one of those ppl LOL. My first tag was bad. 2nd one worked but stopped. I'll probably return it and get another.

Having to stop at a toll and take your gloves off and dig for money is a pain in the ass. EZ pass is so convienent. You have to mount it in a secure spot. I have had mines fall off a few times cause I didn't put it back on securely. My battery was low and wasn't reading so I would have to take the EZ pass off and hand to the toll collector to be scanned. That reminds me, I have to return it and get a new one. The battery is completely dead.

Just register your tag, if it doesn't take they'll see the pic, look you up, and bill you that way. FWIW mine's a $1 monthly fee.

I never pay tolls unless I'm going through the Holland or Lincoln tunnel, i just stay all the way to the right and ride through at about 35-40mph haven't gotten a ticket yet. I'm thinking about getting and ez-pass account as a backup in case a cop sees me and tries to pull me over, that way I can just pull out the tag. And depending on where you mount your tag the camera can't see it even if you go 15mph.
