2006 600 & 750

Heard from a guy that works at suzuki that he heard the 06 600 and 750's will be the same body still as the 05 1000's. Just a rumor but that would be sweet as hell if it was true.

i'm sure it will follow suit with the design, but it wont be identical

That is what I am banking in on. Makes sense tho. GSXR1000 is a early release 2006 and it would make sense if they re did the 600 and 750's to match. I am holding off buying a new 750 til I see the change for 2006. A dealer told me they will find out what the scoop is when they go to the dealer show around Sept. 15th. Suzuki is fairly secretive when it comes to releasing information. I wouldn't be suprised if it just showed up here soon, especially when they learn that the 20th Anniversary Editions aren't selling. :thumbup:

The 2006 GSX-R 600 will have a new GP style exhaust with the muffler under the bodywork and just the end sticking out the side fairing. And it will be way up on power, not just 2 or 3 but as much as 10hp... Hmmm...I don't know about that new exhaust...I kinda like how it looks now...well not the huge as hell stock muffler. But how it's setup I mean...and while I like the look of the 2k5 1000...I think the 2k5 600/750 look nicer overall. As for the HP though...damn that's a nice improvement O_o

I hope they don't go to the undertail exhaust. IT GETS FREAK"N HOT IN HERE!! I've riden a few bikes with undertail exhausts and it's like a freak'n grill burning your buns and calves, expecially in the summer at a stop light. YEEOOUUUCH!! :flush: I read somewhere that suzuki was trying out a few undertail for the K5 1000, but the testers didn't like the handling when it was under, something about the handling was thrown due to the center of gravity being higher. They put the exhaust back to it's traditional place and the testers were happy with the bike. Suzuki stated no performance advantages with the undertail, and since they are a stickly performance oriented company; the undertail exhaust was scrapped. :thumbup:

I don't believe it will be under the bike with the pipe just sticking out, It will be redesigned and look similar to the 1000 and will get a slipper clutch as well as a few more horsepower but not sure about the 10 thing. But this is just what I know mine will be in at the end of Sept. God I love being on the inside.

If the 06 600 and 750 follow suit to the 05 1000, I'm not gonna like the rear fairing. I hate the winged look of the 05 1000.

That black and blue is killer. Personally I dont think they will stop making it. That's their staple bike. But then again, I dont make the decisions.

i wouldnt know why suzuki would stop making it either, they have no one else matching them with a bike like that. And when magazines keep writing the best sport bike in the world and they keep selling, why would you stop making them.

I also asked the local dealer about them this week. The owner told me they Suzook doesn't tell them anything till they come out. And she said, quote "You guys know more about this stuff then we do..." Time will tell.

OK this just in from a rep at corp(I trust this guy) the 06' 600 will be redesigned!!! All new and NO ONE will see it til at the dealer show Oct 2, after that it will do the motorcycle shows then be released to dealers, so what I am told is Dec at earliest maybe Jan, sorry

Oh well. I am picking up an 05 600 within a couple of weeks. If i like the 06 better i will just sell mine for it. Also pciking up a brand new 05 600 for 6200 bucks out the door. Damn it is nice to know people.

on suzuki demo day i was told by one of the workers that they are changin the looks of the 600 and 750......and when i tested the new 1000 i was like WOW....i want one so bad. my 600 compaired to the 1000 is like comparing our POS cavi to my 600...damn

A friend of mines works for suzuki, he says the 2006 model has the exhaust intergrated into the body of the bike. No need for a yoshi pipe anymore!!! Also either Kawi or Yami were doing the same things with there 2006 models.

This article is on the UK version 600 and 750 and I suspect we'll be getting about the same. Looks like the can is a bit shorter than the one on the 1000. From a popular motorcycle magazine over here in the UK: (note the large text refers to the new B-King not the gsxrs)

Should i wait and get the 2k6 600 or just get the 2k5? I dont know if i like the looks of the 2k6 and it has cats on the exhaust WTF? Although it does have more HP it isn't by much. I dont think it comes with teh slipper clutch like predicted. All i can see that is better is the more HP and the sick rear tail, I love that part.

They need to make the 6 and the 750 a little different from each other. They look identical. F that.

All the other MFG's have re-done their bikes, so suzuki brings out some of the stuff it's been sandbagging on and whoops the other MGF's products. Also the supersport class isn't doing that well for suzuki, ben spies is holding his own, but not doing to well. So a new style is called for. If all the others didn't change the style, Suz might have gone another year. I talked to a sales rep ( so I don't put a lot of stock in his word) but he said the 600's and 750's will be a totally different bike. He said all the rumors will be laid to rest when the MFG show comes out. That should be in acouple of weeks he said.

I have a 750 and if your are smart then you wont haVE ANY PROBLEMS! Just keep your head on while riding and you'll bee good. :thumbup:

The main thing I'm worried about is cracking down on the throttle to hard and hitting a 12 0'clock. I'm trying to keep that front wheel down. I'm pretty sure I would crap my self if it came up.

Like you said, I think they are trying to get rid of the 05's, cuz once the 06's come out no one will want te older style.

ME LIKES!!! The can on both bike's are SSSSSAAAWWWWEEETTT!!! The 06, r6 50th yellow scheme gives me the warm fuzzies down yonder. I have to wait and see if Suzuki comes out with a yellow scheme...I just might have to up grade to an 06. To tell the truth, I'm kinda leaning towards the R6 right now, and the R1 LE. Gotta wait and see what Suz comes out with.
