Hello. Just recently purchased an 01 GSXR600 and new to riding. I have my permit and would like to find some people to ride with in the Bronx or nearby. I am scheduled to take my license test on July 14th and would like to get as much riding in before then. If anyone is interested PM me or email me at nel206@msn.com

Word... I can't wait to get my bike. I'm feenin for it. Do you guys ride during the winter? I know it doesn't really snow much in NYC anymore, but it's still cold. But I'm lookin for a group to ride with and learn from.

WE will take you under our wings and teach you to ride the right way. But a 250, at least get a 500 or an sv650. So you won't out grow it one season.

So what are some good routes to ride. I'm located in westchester and finally picking up my new bike next weekend. (totaled the first bike after some jobber pulled across two lanes and didn't see me). Its a black and yellow '06 750. Riding it home from Long Island. Once the spring rolls around, let me know where you ride, I'm always down for some new routes.

And in order to take the mandatory MSF course there, it has to be on a 250cc bike that I have to provide since they're too lazy to bring some for us. lol. SO I figured I'll buy the 250 in NY to learn, ride it down to NC, take the course and buy a 600 or 750 when I get some more experience. Then I can keep the 250 for rainy days. =):arsenal ok... maybe I just don't want to risk trashing a new expensive bike. lol  However, definitely interested in riding with you guys. Got all my gear (Minus pants) =) You guys in the City? I'm in the bronx, near Fordham Rd.

A good route to ride/practice on is the taconic. It has some serious 45 mph turns, some long sweeping turns and some wide open stretches. Further north it gets real nice and there are less cops.;) From the beginning to the end should take an hour to an hour and a half. WE all know the city is nowhere to ride. If want to enjoy your bike in some turns we have some of the best roads in the tri-state area. BUT, you have to ride at your own pace. WE hit some tight turns that can bite you on your ass.:arsenal I rather you be slow and careful than fast and crash. A crash sends us all home early.:headshake

I ususally start on the bronx river, through the Sprain and into the Taconic, then get off on route 6 relax for a few and then head back. It's Great! Always down for that RUN. Hit me up if anyone is going to do that run or wants to. Thanks!
