Deal's Gap

I am going to Deal's Gap the first week in August. Afew friends are going to camp and ride for a few days. We are going during the week, to stay out of weekend traffic. Anyone else wants to go hit me up

Man becarfeul great place to ride, the DRAGON was a blast. My budddy and I were there about a month ago 6 hours and put his R1 in the ditch. 21. hours of driving for 6 hours of riding. It sucked! $4500 and two broke ribs. Be very careful.

I'm hoping to get down there next summer. I have also heard horror stories of people getting smashed up by the Dragon. My cousin goes down there every year for a week and rides everyday. I've heard some stories. Be careful and have fun!!!

I live close enough that I may be able to ride there after work one evening for a ride. I'm about 50 mins away, but never can get any of my riding buddies to go. They'd all rather stand around and watch each other do wheelies all day.. :headscrat

There were 2 riders died riding the Dragon this past week. I think it was on Friday, they both died. Whatever you do, remember that it's not a ractrack. If you go off the side, you may not be found for days or weeks. One of the fatalities was when a father and son were on the bike together. They left the road, and nobody knew it till the son crawled up the hill and was found. The father was already dead. So, don't ride beyond your ability, and RIDE THE ROAD YOU SEE ONLY!!! many of the curves start out slow, then turn very sharp....making some people start into the curve fast, then they realize they can't make it. I've been there about 3 times in the past week, since I'm about an hour away. Gimme a shout and maybe I can make it when you come up.
