Congratulations Taz!
2007 GSXR 1000
The Story: "I started getting the urge to get a new bike last May. I had my sights on an MV Agusta or a Ducati 1098. Having roadraced for several years, I wanted something that would be magical on the street and the track. I got to ride my buddies 07 MV Agusta 312R for about an hour and hated everything about it except how it looked. A few weeks later, I got to ride a 1098s at the track. Sweet bike but I wasn't feeling the Ergos for the street and the heat from the exhaust. Sooo, with money being of little issue, I went and traded my 04 GSXR 1k for a 2007 GSXR 1K. This is absolutely the nicest bike I have ever ridden and will most likely keep it until it or I die."
Completed Modifications:

I'd just like to thank everyone that made this possible....:bounce
Really though, thank you! The bike is being purposefully assembled to be a dedicated track bike that is sometimes ridden on the street.

yellowk4 08-09-2008, 08:41 AM Nice Ride! Is there a huge difference between the 04 and 07 models concerning power/handling?

Huge difference, the 04 felt like an anvil compared to the 07

It is from Yoshimura. My 600 exhaust came with 2 hangers, one to keep the rear footpegs and one without them. I scavenged the one for no rear footpegs. I am sure if you call or email Yosh, they will sell you the part by itself.

...or until Suzuki comes out with a new one that is a big improvement on the '07. Which may not be too far off.

I have too much dinero into this one and I am not sure if their idea of improvements is the same as mine. This bike does everything I need a bike to do and fits me well while doing it. I'll buy other bikes, maybe even GSXRs, but I'll keep this one.
sarcj07 09-22-2008, 10:04 PM Very nice, I love those carbon fiber yosh exhausts..
Old thread but just an update.
Added Marchesini wheels and Driven Clip-ons all that's left is Ohlins forks and Brembo Brakes (I think that's all that is left :) )

Unfortunately, I have to wait to install the calipers until I get the proper adapter for my Galfer SBK lines.
