I would just put a suzuki back on or a wix/napa, I use all 3 of those on my stuff. I would recommend staying away from fram. I heard there anti drain valves are made cheaply. Thats just my opinon though.

Amsoil filters for me. Filters out particles approx 5 microns smaller than what OEM filters do. Just fyi be carfull how small (microns) you go on your filter I'm sure you are ok but if you go to small all you wind up doing is filter out all the additives that they put into oil such as the anti foaming and the detergents ect. like you sed you are probly ok just dont go to small. And on another knote can you get your filters at an auto part stor or do you got to go to a dealer?

I use stock filter with a good synthetic oil(Mobil, Amsoil). Seems to work like a champ, that reminds me it is almost time for another change.

OEM's are fine. Most filters are fine. Just avoid FRAM like the plague. They use cardboard to keep the filters in place. There's a thread over on GDC where some dude bought a used bike and when to change the FRAM filter and found bits and pieces of cardboard in his oil when he drained it out.

I use the K&N, they are about 100x easier to get off with that nut welded to the top...no struggle.

I am a K&N guy. Like stated above the nut makes it a breeze to get off.
