Holy cow Mobil 1 is the best!

Holy cow! So yesterday on my lunch brake I changed my oil for the first time in my k8 750 with Mobil 1 and what a difference! It shift so smooth and just feels a whole lot better! I had the 600 mile scurvies done by dealer only for them to look the bike over and make sure everything was good but changing the oil on it is easy as pie as long as you have a stand!

Any good high-grade synthetic will make a big difference.

Silkolene for the win. Kieth Code's 636's have over 30k track miles on them with zero engine rebuilds. Make it happen. :thumbup:

True. Any synthetic would have made the improvement...so just get what is most affordable and easily obtained.

I also just changed to Mobil 1 Motorcycle 4T and so far so good but only rode a couple days with it. I hope that with my new turbo setup it should be the best stuff for it. I am a big fan of Motul Syn Oil but its hard to find out here. Silkolene makes awsome products as well. I found Silkolene Syn chain lube to be the best so far for chains. I went to the Keith Code class and they sell all the Silkolene products at great prices to the students.

to the guy that said royal purple oil, you need to be a bit cautious when mixing other oils with that one it makes things really finikey when you switch over so, drop the pan to get as much out as possible:thumbup:

It makes no difference when you change to synthetic, if you run it for break in, or if you switch from dyno to synthetic and back to dyno. Those are wives tales and rumors started long ago man similar to the "don't give it full throttle until xxx miles" tale.
