 Look I know that I am new to all of this, and I bet a lot of you are going to get a great laugh out of this, but how do I remove the fairing on my '06 GSXR? I removed all of the screws out but got stuck after that. Can someone please help me? Remember, I'm new to this so don't pick on me too much. I also want to know if what I plan on running with is ok: Oil: Amsoil 10w-30 Filter: Amsoil EaOM109 or K&N Antifreeze: Amsoil Extra: Amsoil Octane Boost Thank you in advance!

there is another screw at the bottom side of the fairing by the kickstand and the exhaust. under the front cowl there are two push tabs that you can just take a allen wrench and push the center piece in and the tab will pop out. there are three more under the bike where the two fairings connect by the front wheel. the rest just pulls out. i believe it is in the manual on how to take them off somewhere.

Thank you! All I have is the service manual (PDF) that I downloaded.

Double check the viscosity requirement in your manual. I think you will find hot temperature restrictions on 10W-30, which will be an issue in California. For most years 10W-40 is a pretty good all around choice.
