Rufio 07-14-2005, 06:27 AM For some reason i feel like it is harder for an 05 600 to pull up bec. the front end is very heavy........i have clutched it up in 2nd gear going about 40 mph and it only comes up to about knee high....i am guessing i need to gas it up a lil more or i have to lean back more..... question...you feel like the 05 600 is harder to wheelie compared to what? the combination of statements and question leads me to believe....you dont get it up at all by clutching it,prolly alot of wheel spin....work on first first, shift it into second...
Rufio 07-19-2005, 08:24 AM I DID MY FIRST WHEELIE............. but it was scary as F***....i held it up for like 4 sec.
SarasotaGSXR 07-19-2005, 10:32 AM  good job, now work on finding bp and you'll b ridin em 4 alot longer than that, wear your gear and keep it slow until your used to them and even when your used to them still wear ur gear!! LoL :D
Rufio 07-19-2005, 10:43 AM of course i will keep it slow....... :D thanks to everyone with their help...
usdm420 07-19-2005, 11:40 AM there's a HUGE sticky on here about wheelies, i would just read thru that....it has plenty of pointers.
LittleFoot 07-21-2005, 06:38 AM gszr,,lol, i didnt even catch that till readin the posts
REVLIMIT 07-23-2005, 05:31 PM Would a 2k5 600 be able to easily (well I know not easily) lift up the front without changing the sprocket? When I get mine I'm probably only going to put exhaust and a filter and that's probably it for performance. Will that be enough?
SarasotaGSXR 07-23-2005, 06:18 PM Yes, the bike will easily lift the front wheel in 1st, 2nd, 3rd and not so easily if 4th (the rider may have some problems but thats all down to technique) without modifying anything on it at all. If your new to sportbikes which I'm guessing u are take a little time to get used to the bike b4 trying 2 wheelie, enjoy the new bike and ride safe.
usdm420 07-24-2005, 01:05 PM a new STOCK 600 will come up in almost every gear with the right technique
g5xr1 07-24-2005, 01:07 PM if you have questions about ridin wheelies, you probly shouldnt be doin em
usdm420 07-24-2005, 01:17 PM i wouldn't go that far...i started by asking questions here and progressed just fine.
Got2josh 07-24-2005, 08:38 PM haha, the front end is so heavy...
don't ask complicated questions, here's all you need to know, stand up staggered, left foot rear peg, right foot front peg, 2nd gear going around 5-6kish and pop the clutch. Now go out and practice practice practice.
There isn't a magic rev to start out at and drop the clutch, it's all about getting a feel for it, and the only way you're going to get a feel for it is by DOING it, not asking how other people do it.
to get it up in 2nd it takes a lot of revs, start out reving just a little over road speed and get used to what the bike does, and then just keep increasing the revs
usdm420 07-25-2005, 12:49 AM shit man i wouldn't even start out standing on rear pegs...just get a feel for the front end coming up first..
Rufio 07-25-2005, 11:42 AM well on my 05 600 ....the front end is HEAVY as .... but like they said you have to have the right tech. it took me a while to find it. but i DID . :bounce
usdm420 07-25-2005, 11:59 AM the front end is heavy on all street bikes, thats how they are designed...you need that front tire planted firmly...your fat ass will take care of the rear tire
SarasotaGSXR 07-25-2005, 01:01 PM :funny: lmao
Got2josh 07-25-2005, 10:32 PM well, heavy compared to what? The whole bike weighs less than 400 wet. Comparing it to maybe a dirtbike than yeah, the front's heavy, but compared to just about any other bike out there, the front is pretty damn light. In first gear it takes nuthin to bring it up, 2nd gear takes a little more but it still comes right up, don't worry about the weight of the bike and spend more time DOING it.
SarasotaGSXR 07-26-2005, 04:38 AM Exactly, its all about where your weight is on the bike and your reaction when he wheel comes up
Rufio 07-26-2005, 06:48 AM yesterday i compared the weight of my front end and the weight of an 02 R6 by making a quick U-turn by leaning the bike on the kick stand....
my friend with the R6 that does this manuver all the time wid his bike couldn't do it wid mine........OR maybe we are just weak as hell..........

Dude, you're on crack. That's the problem.
Just keep practicing. Trust me the front end is not heavy. try sitting back in the seat a little. It makes a world of difference.
SuzukiGirl 08-10-2005, 11:56 AM thats b/c u got the only gsZr :laughingr :laughingr
That was hilarious mikey
