well i got a jet kit put on my bike with the k&n filter, the mechanics (suzuki) were bragging about the awesome throttle response and top end.. which it does have compared to my friends r6 it gets scary up top, also it burns at crap load more fuel, every day this week i've had to gas it up, this is after 1 or 2 full throttle runs just through first! my friend on the r6 said he was behind me when i gassed it most of the way and he choked on the gas it sent out, although it wasnt smoke cloud just a lot of gass i guess. (notice how he was behind and his is an 04 :arsenal) well the power comes on at about 8k and it flies from there. the problem that im having is launching the bike, since i got the jet kit the damn thing bogs below 4k and is pretty guttless unless i bring it up to 7 to 8 where it really opens up. im just wondering what i should generally keep my revs at. it's a 97 gsxr 600, (my sn) btw thanks

Sounds like you bike may need to be re adjusted as your bike may be tooo rich down low causing it to respond as describe, but then when it clears it self it runs like it got a stronger top end. I think that you most defiantly need to redo kit and if not eventually you will be posting about how come your bike will not start or especially after a nice long ride. Your gas mileage will change due to bigger jets more gas etc etc

i've taken it on a couple of 3 hour rides, and i love the topend, so im guessing if I take it back in to get tuned it wont have the same topend that it used to have? im putting a full yosh exhaust on the bike soon, im guessing that will only continue to increase the topend lol. i get shit for gas mileage about maybe 100 per tank im going to keep track on this tank and see how much i get haha.

I still think you should take that in as you are gonna have alot more problems down the line running like that. You need more of your lower end grunt than topend as you spend more of your time in the lower end. You should not sacrifice your top end due to making your low end better. Might be a simple turning back jets 1/4 turn or changing needle setting and your bike will perform alot better, but if you satified with what you got
