that just shows how much more power you can get out of a dyno tune vs a preload map. very nice. :)

Im confused, if they got 158hp after all of that then what the hell is up with this web site saying the baseline should be around 185hp?http://www.motorcyclespecs.co.za/model/suzu/suzuki_gsxr1000%2007.htm

Manufacture specs for any vehicle are usually power at the crank, or at the motor. Dyno numbers are power at the wheel numbers.

Seems weak to me, I would say he should have about 163 to 165 considering his bike has minor modifications and is not stock

Thats about all the good tuners over here are getting out of them with the same shit on them. Mate had the same as that got 160 he then fitted a full yoshi and had it re tuned it went 170hp

Thought the power looked low more like a K3/4 fuelling was rich all the way from just over tickover! Admitted don't know what the air temp was and don't think it had decent ram air on the rolling road. Would be disappointed if it was mine. Seen lots of dyno work stock K5/6 are around 158rwhp (same as early model stock Busa's) K7/8 165 - 176 rwhp

A stock 1K in those years will put down about 150 - 155. My friend had his stock K8 dyno'd and it put down 153. I had my slightly modded K7 1K dyno'd and it put down 163.

I've seen all the figures I've mentioned. They have all been off tha same dyno. In fact the dyno at Crescent Suzuki Home to the Rizla - Suzuki Moto GP and British Superbike Teams. I'm not saying your figures are wrong or anything else. Seems like loads of different factors come into play. Florida is a lot warmer than the UK and no doubt sea level comes into it and maybe the octane of your fuel, who knows. One thing is for certain no one can make a Suzuki go faster than these guys.

My K8 put out 159.3 with a pc3, yoshi slip on and a map I downloaded. I'll try to post the video of the dyno if I can figure out how.

Dyno figures are a big wank anyway Down in OZ if you want i big Dyno figure you go to a certain place and you will get your 170rwhp no worries If you want a real figure and your bike tuned properly there are only a couple of places to go

[QUOTE=hoges;714936]Dyno figures are a big wank anyway I think you are probably right. It is interesting to see the fuelling on some of these so tuned bikes. They are all over the place, the output figures don't really mean much. It's getting the complete package that matters.........
