start up issue (after extended down time)

I have a 01 GSXR 600 and it won't start. When I crank it, I can feel compression but it's not igniting. I made the mistake of letting it sit on the side of my house for about a year without taking proper precautions. Anyway, I inspected the spark plugs and FI's, they seem to be working fine. I primed the cylinders with fuel and got combustion, but once the fuel in the cylinders burns out, so does the engine. I'm guessing it's a fuel transfer issue. Any suggestions? Thanks Oh and also, I disconnected the power commander (that came with it when I bought the bike) and the start up seems to be a bit better, it sputters a bit but it still won't start.

Get the old gas out, put in fresh and add a little seafoam to clear the injectors and hope for the best. Gas more than a few months old can sometimes barely light with a match. K7
