I picked up this tank bag from Newenough.com for 50$ shipped and couldn't be happier. I thought it seemed a little small when I first got it but it does what I need it to do. It keeps me from having to carry a backpack all the time and also is small enough that it doesn't get in the way. As for capacity ,stuffing it full, I got two pairs of gloves, my liner, a wallet, phone, GPS, an apron for work and a bottle of water. The Y-pack straps are well desigined light and comfortable, and especially help when you get off your bike. The magnets are strong and don't shift, lately we've been having days of really high wind and this bag doesn't shift at all.

Nice write up zabrow. Have you had any problems with scratching the tank? I know you said it doesn't move while riding but what about when applying the bag to the tank and taking it off?

I have had the same bag for 4 years. Zero scratching due to the liner on the bottom of the bag what did happen to me was the magnet on the front of the tank sits in a "pouch" well my leather jacket wore through the "pouch" and the magnet fell out, nothing some duct tape didn't fix but that was just me, doesn't mean that it will happen to everyone. Otherwise I love the bag.

Yeah, the liner on the bottom of the bag is good about keeping debris off of the magnets. I just make sure and run my hand across the magnets before I put it on my bike. I have a friend who has his tankbag on 24/7 always in the same position so he put Duct Tape, that is the same color as his bike, on his tank so if something was on the magnet it'd scratch the tape not his tank.

i have the same bag. its a great bag, not too small and not too big, you can fit like your wallet insurance cards extra pair a saftey or sun glasses, ect in there and a couple bottles of water. and i keep a small metal plate for my kick stand to sit on, for those really hot days. cause kick stands and hot parking lots dont mix.

LMAO!!
do they make any luggage for the tail section or can it be used for the tail section? if it's by magnets, not too sure.

there are d-rings one each of the flaps for the y-straps. W/ a little ingenuity you could prob make it work on a tail section by putting on the y-straps and locking your passenger seat or cowl down over them. I'll try it a little later today and tell you how it worked.
