Sharp HID's and sharphid.com they are fairly good no problems installing just don't drop the screw to the light bulb bracket like I did or you will have to take apart your upper like I did. The instructions that came with the kit are no good really but her is the link to a better one http://www.gsxr.com/showthread.php?t=62038 posted on our website by nicemike1k thank you if you read this your instructions really helped. the kit looks nice pictures below and good pricing too about $80 for the whole kit I got the 8000k's pics below. http://i687.photobucket.com/albums/vv233/antzgarciaK7/CIMG0877.jpg http://i687.photobucket.com/albums/vv233/antzgarciaK7/CIMG0879.jpg http://i687.photobucket.com/albums/vv233/antzgarciaK7/CIMG0880.jpg

I got the slim ballast and I mounted it right where i am pointing in this picture http://i687.photobucket.com/albums/vv233/antzgarciaK7/CIMG0911.jpg http://i687.photobucket.com/albums/vv233/antzgarciaK7/CIMG0909.jpg http://i687.photobucket.com/albums/vv233/antzgarciaK7/CIMG0913.jpg also my kit is a 55 watt kit has more wattage thus making the color less color full and the light more bright.

so how do the highs work with the HID's on the k2's? sorry just got my bike a month ago still learning about it It depends on if you get the bi xenon kit or just the regular low beam kit. i have a k2 as well but chose a different route. I retro fit projectors from an infiniti fx35 into my head light housing and can use high beams as well as low beams. It gives it a completely different look as well as you direct the beam of light instead of having it scattered and possibly blinding others. My avatar is a picture of my head lights.

i used the write up here to get most of my information http://www.sportbikes.net/forums/fz6/410390-ultimate-fz6-projector-headlamp-retrofit.html also http://www.hidplanet.com/main.html <-- their forum was useful. http://store.theretrofitsource.com/index.php <-- i purchased some parts from there as well as used their forum. a few other poeple on this forum have done a retrofit but mostly on the newer style bikes, i wanted to try something different. P.S. like most projects craigslist and ebay can be your friend.

the hids look perfect! I got mine off a power seller on ebay for $49.95 shipped. All my friends use them on their bikes and cars. It's a bit more for the slim ballasts.

so how do the highs work with the HID's on the k2's? sorry just got my bike a month ago still learning about it The kit is plug and play. all you have to do is take out the OEM light bulb and put in the ones that come with the kit, then connect the wires from the bulb to the original wires that plugged into the OEM bulb. its that easy

where did you find them for $40? are they good quality or is it cheep shit china stuff? I got mine off of ebay. I have the phillips ballasts. Says made in USA on the back. The box they came in says Xentec. I have two of there kits. I have had one for over a year with no issues, and the other for 6 months also with no problem. They come with a 3 year warranty. Autoluminate is the seller. You will have to let them know you only need one ballast HID bulb since its for a motorcycle.

This is a great write and recently bought an HID kit for my 06' 1000, I do have one question is the relay harness necessary or at least recommended when installing this on your bike?
