no kidding, there's just no comparing a twin and an I4 of the same displacent, so they almost double the twins engine size and say they're faster. Not to mention they get to use the latest technology in v-twins while we're stuck with ancient history and carbs

Yeah, I've followed nhra prostock bike since the old days of the john myers and dave shultz rivalry. I think this is all a bunch of crap with the harleys. that v-rod motor is nowhere near anything that someone could buy off the showroom floor. That motor is custom cut billet aluminum and all. the suzuki's atleast use bored out old 2 valve gs motors. The harleys also get a weight break. Antron Brown has been raising hell about the edge the harleys have all year. maybe something will change for next year. i'm dissappointed that the hines people from Vance&Hines who was so big into supporting the 4cylinder dragbikes in the eighties have jump ship to what seems like an unfair advantage. feel free to correct me if i'm wrong...

i guess harley bought themselves a championship behind closed door's,,the nhra gave them anything they wanted to get it done,,,and your right,,2 valve cyl heads on the suzuki,,and many other restriction's,,they did make the harley guy's add weight,,now the same weight as the suzuki's,,..and have you noticed the suzuki's haven't goten much faster in the last 2 year's,,ha,,most of the pro-stock guy's still run the hines engine,,.i think id be looking somewhere else,,hines sold his soul :2hard ....it's kinda funny,,the harley guy's hate the porsche v-rod anyway.....Yeah, I've followed nhra prostock bike since the old days of the john myers and dave shultz rivalry.
