Whats up Guys I just got this mid-pipe from ebay its a fathercarbon mid pipe for the 08 09 gsxr It should be Here by Wednesday ima post all the install pic and sound video i didnt ind any threads about this mid pipe so im starting one ima keep ya updated "THIS IS A PERFORMANCE MID PIPE FOR THE REMOVAL OF THE 12LB CAT ON THE GSXR 600 750 EXHAUST SYSTEM. how much is it. do you just use a 08 slipon with it?

i have been looking at that for a couple months now just never wanted to buy it and be the first one ha the only down side is u have to cut off the cat and if you dont do it good then ur screwed and it wont fit on there. are you going to weld it on there or just use the t-clamps. i am in the same boat i want beter sound but dont want to pay to much what to do? did u have to drop the headers to cut off the cat and what did u use to do it like a hack saw

i didnt remove anything i got a cutting machine and just cut the cat 5min it took me longer to remove the plastics that to cut it the video is coming its still raining here in ny over the weekend im going to record it :arsenal

I hope you are running a fuel/air management system... b/c if your not then your bike is going to begin to run lean and destroy itself over time. The stock ECU can not compensate for a change like removing the CAT!

I plan on doing this MOD very soon and I am going to be putting a PCV on my bike, you can get a great deal from fuel moto and he has like a million maps.

The stock ECU can not compensate for a change like removing the CAT! Not true. If you just have a slipon you will not need a air/fuel management system. I took my stock system off and put a slipon on and had it dynoed and air/fuel ratio checked and it was just fine the guy said it could not get any better. And yes I did have a cat.

I had a cat and removed it when I put my Taylor made on that is when I had it dynoed after the cat was removed. A/F was perfect.

one of my friend keep telling me that the once the bike warm up it starts to lose power im not a speed racer so i really dont care if i lose 3hp or 10hp im getting the power commander cause it keep hearing that the engine will get fu#$ up so...

just did the same mod on my k8 600 with the two brothers slip on but my set valve is removed to power commander is a must i am working on a custom map for this set up.

Any way to the OP, now that its some time after the install have you noticed anything that would make you wanna get a PC3 and a tune? Im considering the midpipe for my girls 08 600 but by that time your pretty much at 3/4 of a full system and its really hit or miss with needing a tune I feel like... :cool:
