Grandwheelie Master 08-07-2005, 04:42 PM What would you consider a stunt rider? My bag of tricks is pretty small, not going to be taking the gold at stunt wars any time soon. Just thought I would ask.

slack0Yd 08-07-2005, 08:24 PM I consider stunting being willing and able to crash over and over again. If ya got a bike with only a few normal scratches on it your prob not a stunter (or your at the level of stunt master). Everytime I go watch the semi to good guys in the parking lots, they always drop a few of em. They have nice cages and stuff, but the bikes still take a good beating. I am in no way a stunter, I would like to master the basic wheelie (sit down and stand up) and an average stoppie. Its slow moving ...
BBCorvette18Punk 08-07-2005, 08:53 PM i dont consider some one who rides wheelies and stoppies to be a stunter? now variations of wheelies and stoppies is wher the stunting comes in. i can wheelie like a son of a bitch, but i dont stunt, i'm too fat to do that shit,
SarasotaGSXR 08-07-2005, 09:34 PM OK, first off, ask any stunter and they'll tell ya that stoppies are one of the most risky stunts to pull off, variations or not, and I'm not talkin about pop ups, and yes, I do consider u a stunter, just because your not doin circles in a parking lot doesn't mean what your doing is not considered stunting, where do u think all the pros started out, in the parking lot with circles, or on the back roads poppin whoolies??? Now if u r just doin whoolies then no, I wouldn't consider u a stunter, but if ur ridin em out, like u r (i seen the vid with dstrb), doin stoppies, rollin burnouts/360's, skitchin, seat stands etc. Then ya, I consider u a stunter, some of us don't have the money 4 a second bike and don't wanna screw ours up by addin so many teeth u can't ride it on the road comfortably any more....Keep up da good work and post some more vidz!!!!
P.S. Here is the definition of a stunt.... 1) A feat displaying unusual strength, skill, or daring. 2) Something done to attract attention or publicity.
FuzioN 08-08-2005, 04:23 AM Everyone has a dif definition of stunting i suppose.. someone who speeds may be a stunter dont you think?
CNY750Rider 08-08-2005, 04:23 AM I agree

Motojoe_23 08-08-2005, 05:45 AM Anything other than straight up standup or sitdown highway speeds is starting to be a stunter. now if you are only doing highway shit, you are what I call a 1999 stunter  but if you start slowing that shit down, now you are getting to be a modern day stunter :D
sacgsxr 08-15-2005, 01:56 PM anyone who can back brake a wheelie in my book is a stunter....any average joe can do a wheelie or a stop and drop a stoppie, but when you can can bring it up and slow it down thats what stunters do
Got2josh 08-15-2005, 10:21 PM Once the stoppies hit 100ft+ and the wheelies are under 20, spreaders, highchairs, one hand, no-throttle hand, no hand coasters, that's when it's really stunting. Getting a wheelie to balance point while it may be difficult really isn't, it's just hard to MAKE yourself do it, but physically if you have some balls you'll stay on the throttle a little longer and not chop it. Same with things like seat standers, set idle at 30, get feet on seat, stand and let go of bars, the hardest part is making yourself do it but once you do it's not very hard and doesn't take much practice.
It doesn't take too much hardcore practicing to get 2nd gear standups and roll 5 foot stoppies, not to take anything away from those cause everyone has to learn those first, but I don't consider them "stunting." To me a stunter is someone who has a lot more variations.

damn my last one was only 99.5 feet.......guess I need more practice :laughingr

Damn dude I knew I sucked but I had no idea I sucked that bad. :funny:
Got2josh 08-16-2005, 09:59 PM lol, sorry if I offended everyone! I see the term "stunter" as someone who's dedicated to stunting I guess, not just someone who wants to be able to show off but someone that's always progressing and always pushing to learn more. Those are the guys that keep the sport moving and are always out promoting and trying to get the sport big, look at guys like darius and kane, they just don't stop.
saudibiker 08-16-2005, 11:23 PM Dear Mr. Grandwheeli Master, I just was wondering from where did you get the Icon you ysed for your signeture, the caution sign of a wheelie? this photo is the official logo of our riding group : Saudi Bikers, ( www.saudibikers.com) locatid in Saudi Arabia, and I was there when it was created from scratch ( the logo) and it was not copied from any other site or source.
I am not against using it by people, thats acttually is a complement for us as the logo idea is grate, but it is intresting if you git it from somwhere eles, this logo is registered and copyrighted.
Please help us in protecting our rights by teling if some eles is using it officeally.
Thanks.
Saudi Bikers Administrator. :hmmm:
