Hey guys, I have question. My friend bought Bandit 1200 on Friday. Everything was and is fine, but there is a little problem with front fork. You know, how your car tire looks whe you have bad shock (bumpy), so his tire looks like that, but only on left side. I rode the bike and also, whe I turned left in low speed (like 20-25mph), I could turn handle bars a bit to left, like you turn from stop. I don't think that is good. The right side is good though. So I'm wondering, what has to be done. Thanks

Might just need a new tire, cupping on a bike tire is not uncommon. BUT the forks COULD need rebuilding.

Would you know, how much they charge or how many hours of labor for that rebuild in shop?
He is gonna get new tire for sure asap, but I'm not sure if it helps with that turning issue. It felt really weird, But we will get new tire and go from there. Thanks Joe

It will feel very weird with a cupped tire. generally it is a 2-2.5 hour job max. I suggest gettign them BOTH done, not just one. That way they have oil and all that is the same age. And have them replace the oil seal, dust seal ANd the slider bushings if he can afford it. Makes for a better rebuild. I wont even warrenty a rebuild unless you do all three.
