ill post pics shortly, very solid and easy to use. ive looked at the pitbull stands and found a few good deals. then i ran across the t-rex stands that were cheaper. ive read ppl say brand A is better than brand B but ive got better things to save up for than a rear stand.
i give this stand two thumbs up! solid construction, and nice wheels and large handle to operate by yourself.

Thanks man! I might actually pick this up
mygsxr69 08-04-2009, 08:02 AM STAY AWAY FROM THIS STAND !! My best friend bought this exact stand for his 2006 Ninja ZX10r and the whole left side bent one afternoon while he was cleaning the bike. He took it back to his local harbor freight and got his money back. We both thought it would do the job, but it was horrible.
buyer beware !
3/4 LITER GSX-R 08-04-2009, 08:30 AM Harbor Freight is not exactly know for high quality stuff...
Its kinda like the wal-mat, big lots or k-mart of the industrial sector... they have many good items for a reasonable price but saying "you get what you pay for" (in general) really holds true in this store
since cash is tight for me i would try out these stands myself but definitly take heed in what mygsxr69 said and i would keep an eye on th eintegrity of the stand over time

For me, once I saw this thing bend ( and it was only a week old ), I wouldnt trust my $8,000 machine on anything from harbor freight.
After he returned the stand to harbor frieght, he ended up getting a set of stands from gpi industries ( www.gpiindustries.com ).
They come with a lifetime guarantee and to be honest, I even sat on his ZX10r, and the gpi stands didnt budge. I plan on picking up a set of these shortly......I'll post up a review when I do.
DaMiL004 08-04-2009, 11:25 AM Harbor Freight is the the greatest place in the world if you are buying something to use once or twice around the house so since i don't own this product I cannot bad mouth them they have treated me right. But for the money you cant beat this stand and hopefully you will be careful with it and keep a close eye on it because some of their MADE IN TAIWAN items are pretty crappy. I bought the Motorcycle Wheel Chock about 2 years ago http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/ctaf/displayitem.taf?Itemnumber=96349and use it on my trailer and have had no problems. But again i inspect it very thoroughly every time I put my bike on it.
So overall everyone in this thread has made very good points in my opinion.

I think most of us think that harbor frieght sells junk.....We're not trying to be mean at all, so please dont think that.
All I can say is that my friend had that stand and it bent.....so buyer beware. If the stand works for you, i'd say you lucked out. Just keep an eye on it.
Also, is your rear tire even off the ground with that thing? Most stands I have seen give you a good 3-4 inches of ground clearance.
halcyon 08-04-2009, 09:52 PM oh ya, pics are at odd angles i guess. I definitely got 3" of clearance on this. i know not of harbor freight's quality, simply trying to pass on a good deal.
cheers!
trancedmp3 08-04-2009, 10:54 PM I have the other stand from harborfreight. normal black one. I also bought the adapter to make it a front and back stand.
Its kinda cheap made but for $50 shipped to ur door for a front stand u cant expect too much
was $60 total with the back adapter, so i can use it on front and back
yakitori 08-05-2009, 06:34 AM I was actually gonna buy their wheel balancing stand. Im tired of driving 15 miles to cyclegear for a free balance, and waiting....or paying 14 bucks to my nearby shop to do it. I mount my own tires, so might as well get weights and rack to balance at home.
MikeF 08-05-2009, 04:14 PM I wouldn't use harbor fake to hold ANYTHING I cared about. Every tool I'v EVER bought\used from there has self destructed during normal use EVERY time.
I was replacing control arms once and decided I really didn't want to go broke buying a pickel fork to pop the ball joint since its not a tool I use a whole lot. First 5 taps with a hammer and the fork broke off at the weld and got wedged between the steering knuckle and control arm... What a pain to get out.
Buddy was bragging about this deal he got on a bench vice he got from harbor freight. I seen his logic "Why pay a fortune? a big heavy block of metal is a big heavy block of metal right?" I don't remember what we were working on, but it involved hammering a piece of metal on top of the vice with a ball peen hammer, next thing I know the vice CRACKED IN HALF.
I have an old 75 Kawasaki KZ, my buddy happened to have a parts bike, so out of sheer boredom we decided to transfer the electric start over to mine which didn't come equipped with it. Bought a gear puller from harbor freight, just needed something to pull the pressed on flywheel off so I could replace it with one that had the gear for the starter chain. The gear pullers came in a set of 3 different sizes.. before it was over with, ALL 3 pullers had broken metal teeth... the flywheel didn't move a millimeter.
My dad once got a micrometer there, I don't know if it had this defect brand new or what, but when the calipers were completely closed, the dial read a mm or so... The calipers had no way to adjust the zero point, so now everytime you go to use it, you better be ready to do some math.
Heh long post I know.. but learn from my mistakes\experience. Don't let it cost you damage to your bike by going cheap on a simple yet extremely important tool.
JohnPaulGixxer 08-05-2009, 04:52 PM glad that works out for you.
no way in hell that would go under my bike
k5blk600 08-06-2009, 01:54 PM glad that works out for you.

Yea..be careful..I havent had much luck with stuff from there..
jtownthug 09-19-2009, 02:55 PM I bought a voltage meter there for $3 and have used it pretty regulary for about 3 years with no problems. I checked it against a name brand one and their readings were the same. I also bough a battery tender there the same time and it has worked well for me.
A lot of their tools are junk but if you know what your looking at You can make an educated decision. At the verry worst they are helping to keep the name brand prices in check with their competition.
