not really! dont like frame sliders had a bike totaled due to frame sliders! race railz are not really for stunting that would be a crash cage. i have had race railz on my other bike and when i have lowsided i picked the bike up and not damage to any other part of the bike but the scraps on the railz and thats it the bike itself never touched the ground! little more than 250 dollars to save a $16k bike that price includes helmet gloves 4 year warranty and 5 year wheel and tire protection. ill take that deal all day long! They don't get in the way at all when riding or stopped? I've got an 09 1000 but I broke my hand on my track bike 2 weeks after I got the 09! Just waiting to ride it again. It really sucks! navyboy12807 09-06-2009, 06:08 PM Ok thanks for the info. I've been waiting for Woodcraft to make sliders but the Racerailz have greater protection. Anyone know where I can buy them? I ordered a set from Powers Stuntworx but received a wrong set. Can't get in contact with them now. I think they are out of business. Correct me if I'm wrong. 6erGixxer 11-25-2009, 06:24 PM are you for real? out of business? i want to order a pair too. SRAD600 11-26-2009, 04:28 PM Im pretty sure they didnt go out of business. Just to let you guys know tho if you plan on taking any of these bikes to the track.... most tracks do NOT allow rails. Cuest 11-28-2009, 01:38 PM If you go to the track via TPM (Team Pro Motion) you can use your railz. I have them on my k6 1k and I went down on the track. Although the bike still receive minor damage it only cost me $500 to get her back up and running. The railz saved me a ton of cash had I not had them on. I don;t know about others that provide track days but if you use TPM you can definitely use them. navyboy12807 01-16-2010, 12:53 PM Im pretty sure they didnt go out of business. we have a set back right now. about 3months ago a someone broke into the shop and stole vital equipment matt is waiting for the insurance to send him a check last i heard as we have no work due to the equipment being stolen. that was two weeks ago the last i heard from him. once we can get a pipe bender we can start work again but until then there is nothing we can do but wait from the insurance company. so we are sorry but we are not out yet its just a tough time in a tough economy. but we will bounce back. i will check this site when i can as iam going through a tough time with no work but im pretty sure it wont be much longer. | |
