Radavis4 09-07-2009, 09:16 AM Hey,
Wanting some input on the best way to stretch my bike that wont kill the bank. Whats yall opinion about extensions? My bike is not just for show. I do ride it everyday. So i don't wont nothing that is going to keep coming loose. let me know
Thanks
rebel750 09-07-2009, 09:38 AM Nothing wrong with extensions. I have been riding on them for 2 years with zero problems. But if you dont lower it at the same time the ass of the bike actaull raises up a couple inches(I found that out when I dod mine)
You will need extensions, longer chain(# of links depend on length of stretch, lowering links, and adjustable or short kick stand. Lowering the front to match is free with some hand tools and knowhow. Maybe $600 for everything.
With your cutom paint it will look mean as hell too:thumbup:
Radavis4 09-07-2009, 09:42 AM I got 2in lowering dogbones on it already. Where is the best place to buy and any particular thing to look for? and what about longer brakelines?

rear brake line if u plan to keep the back brake
rebel750 09-07-2009, 11:27 AM rear brake line if u plan to keep the back brake
Good call on the lines, it completely slipped my mind:thumbup: Damnit I just used my one mistake for the week:headshake
Roaring Toyz has some nice shorty kick stands, I ordered my extensions, chain and brake line from a dealer in Rockwall Texas (Rockwall Motorsports I think), He hooked me up pretty good. They somehow double charged me on the whole order and when they fixed it they gave me the brake line for free.
alex05_28 09-09-2009, 10:56 AM If u do plan on getting extensions I know a place that can get u extensions the chain and a brake line for I think $379 out the door so it does include shipping then all u will have to do is cut and reweld your current kickstand and that will be it
alex05_28 09-09-2009, 11:00 AM If u want the number here it is 615 431 2294 it's called all things chrome u can get the extensions in chrome or black. The only thing is that there based in Tennessee so your going to have to wait a week at the longest
pswamp605 09-09-2009, 11:03 AM i had extensions so i could take them off if i wanted to, cut the kickstand and put a bit bigger peice on the bottom then if the pavements real hot its less likely to fall over
GSXRSTUNNA333 09-09-2009, 08:41 PM I got mine on ebay for 400 and that was buying everything seperate.
kcs081k 09-09-2009, 10:12 PM dude buy some good extensions, its your life your rideing on, the most popular are yana shiki and roaring toys, those cheap ebay ones cracked on my buddy. they wont come loose but they are not as durable, i got 25k miles on my yana shikis since i installed them. they are about 300 for a set then 50 for a line and like 125-150 for a chain depending on how many links you buy you will need 130-150 for the 04-05 gsxr
extreme terror 09-10-2009, 05:12 AM ya man id say extend, dont stretch. u'll still need a new chain and brake line though. I got the gsxr blocks from babbits i think
GSXRSTUNNA333 09-11-2009, 05:22 PM well my dad welds aluminum and he took a look at them and told me they were perrty good not some cheap aluminum. ive had no problem.
kcs081k 09-11-2009, 05:26 PM yeah and ur gonna need a brake hanger for the 04/05
GSXRSTUNNA333 09-11-2009, 05:57 PM As a matter of fact, I just checked what brand they were and there yana shikis...lol so i got a good deal and you got ripped off.
