Get them you will not be disappointed with them. The only drawback was the cost. I have nothing bad to say about the tires they did everything I ask of them and more. Narada 10-19-2009, 06:48 AM i have to agree, Pirelli Diablo Rosso are great for curves and the Diablo Strada is perfect for long straights. They both handle great and warm up quick far the best tire i ever had Chango 10-19-2009, 05:46 PM If you're looking at the Diablo Street available from Cycle Gear for $189 for a set, yes, they are excellent tires. They can handle a trackday in the Novice group without any trouble at all, let alone anything you're going to be throwing at them on the street. They handle good, warm up quickly enough, and last long enough for sporty tires. Hell, most Intermediate riders would be fine on em. Chango 10-20-2009, 06:40 AM Hell, most Intermediate riders would be fine on em.
True enough. We just like to pretend we're fast enough to need the expensive stuff. In my mind, I'm passing Rossi up the inside in every corner... In reality I would be fine using sport-touring tires at half of the tracks I ride. hellishhorses 10-20-2009, 02:35 PM Pirelli doesn't make a bad tire. Just make sure you're getting the correct application (grip, mileage, etc.) norcalsportrider 11-13-2009, 02:26 AM pirellis are great tire. Excellent grip but almost all there tires suffer in the wear department.
Also they have softer carcass and do not give a ton of feedback. at least the ones I have used
Supercorsas
Corsa3s
Rossos a friend uses and says they tend to have the same traits. 05gsxr6 11-14-2009, 02:39 PM pirellis are great tire. Excellent grip but almost all there tires suffer in the wear department.

my tire guy says the pirelli's are stiffer than pilot powers. i switched to the corsa3's from pilot powers this year and dont have anything bad at all to say about them. Grip is slightly better on the corsa3's and they seem to last alot longer than the pilot powers norcalsportrider 11-14-2009, 02:57 PM my tire guy says the pirelli's are stiffer than pilot powers. i switched to the corsa3's from pilot powers this year and dont have anything bad at all to say about them. wow pirellis are well known for being the softest of the soft carcass. Your tire guy may want to look again.
I like the corsa3 also. Though I never got the same tire life out of those as I did a Pilot Power. But it is not even fair to compare a Pilot Power vs a Corsa3 in the grip department. gix wookie 11-23-2009, 05:36 PM The Pirelli's are a good tyre, no doubt. I think they are better than the Pilot powers from a grip perspective, they will wear quicker than the Pilot powers however a fairer comparo would be between the The Metzeler racetech and the Pirelli, the Pirelli moves around a bit more than the Metzeler but the Pirelli has a better profile on it.
The Metzeler is a stiffer tyre as is the Pilot Power. I'm now running the Dunlop GP which is a legal road tyre and will never go back. I do however notice a longer warm up time on the Dunlop, It all depends on what ridding your doing. CoryK 01-06-2010, 06:25 PM I ran pirelli corse 3's on my 03 1000, excellent tires, great feedback, good wear. kingali 01-18-2010, 03:51 AM Today I had new sets of Diablo Rosso Corsa fitted. Always been running Dunlop Qualifiers. Will never go back to anything else. they are slightly narrow but taller, felt so much better in tipping and turning the bike. Alreay done 200Km and very happy. They also warm up very quickly. Been told that they are no good for the wet. | |
